Scopes for Southpaws

Being left handed I have found it difficult to adjust the parallax while in the field. Even on a short bullpup I can't reach the knob while the gun is shouldered, and spending time fiddling with it can be the difference between bringing home dinner or not. I've been looking at the SWFA line as they have rear focus scopes. Are there any other southpaw freindly scopes I should be looking at?

I have a 1-6x24 Athlon makes has fixed parallax, Midas BTR gen2, great light weight hunting scope. has an awesome IR

I shoot left handed ,my scopes have the parallax in the front,I use my right hand, to adjust, have no problem adjusting from a shooting position..unless the parallax ring is hard to move, for a side parallax either side, put prefer the right side...Also if you use a sling ...the sling takes the weight of the rifle and puts it more on your shoulder.Practice to find the solution that fits you...Khales does make a scope with parallax on top ,a pretty penny for it.

Here's what I use for hunting set parallax at 50 yards at 15x (or whatever MAX average distance shot that location)then back the power down to 5x. Clear from 10 yards to around 65 yards set that way no fuss with parallax fine tune zoom higher power till blurry then back the power to focus clear idiot proof. Take the shot pretty damn quick this way. Back the zoom to 5x worst case scenario if at point blank range.

JAPAN SCOPE PERFECT TO click turret for DIAL OF DEATH SHOTevery single shot just like the $699 SWFA SS 3-15x42AO and about just as crystal clear too less than half the price. It lists for $499 and IMHO worth paying that price regular for what you get.

First ordered 10 to try. Liked them so much ordered 20 more this last sale and another extra one from the classifieds right after that. They're THAT GOOD. Clarity is unbelievable. Clear pretty much like my Sightron SIIIs at 15x side by side compared and SWFA SS at 15x too.

Hard to find good clear glass like these with JAPAN RELIABLE TURRETS FOR CLICKING and suspect these are on clearance due to being discontinued.

I like the Aim Sports Alpha6 and JSAR Chinese scopes too but wouldn't use any of those for repeated clicking since they're Chinese and only trust Japanese turrets to reliably click with for DIAL OF DEATH for every single shots.

Many have bought this same scope after I gave them my opinion but they are all too shy to post. Maybe not "Lewis" of them all but all others not a single word but thank you via PM.

This is my setup. Daystate Regal XL with a Hawke Vantage 4-12X50 AO sighted in at 40 yards on 6X for squirrels. I don't go any higher than 6X when squirrel hunting to give me a good field of view to find them in the scope. Most my shots are around 40yds, but I've had quite a few that were 15yds and less. Grabbing the front bell with my right hand to focus while shouldering on my left and trying to keep the target in the crosshairs can be tricky. Also, after several surgeries to mend a torn rotator cuff, I have difficulty raising my right arm and steadying it.

Even shooting the HW100BP I have to reach over with the right to use the side focus. It's no biggy when sitting at the bench picking off starlings, but when a quick shot is neeed in the woods, it takes too much time. I have my eye on the SWFA 6X42 rear focus, which I can use my left hand to focus, just thought there may be other options.

The Dedal Stalker 6x has the parallax wheel on top and even as a right handed user I really like it there. I like the field of view and forgiving eye box on this scope.

Fixed picatinny base so adapter required on a dovetail rifle, which I assume your Daystate has.

There is one for sale in the classifieds at the moment.

I just looked up the Daystate and I think mounting a Dedal Stalker on it would be tough. If you want some measurements of one to see if it could possibly fit behind the breech I could measure mine or I'm sure somebody else could.

Still a possibility for the bullpup, though.
