Scope Recommendations?

Scope recommendations/personal experience?

I'm looking for a scope to sit on my FX WildCat MK2. Possibly for my Impact "X" also.
Criteria of things required:

-Second Focal Plane

-Fine reticle

-Clear glass

-Excellent turret tracking

-Great Warranty

-focus down to 10 yrds-infinity

-20x or better would be nice! Variable.

So far of those I have seen on the web. the scopes that are being considered are:

-Aztec Emerald 5.5-25 x 50

-MTC Viper pro 5-30 x 50

-Optisan EVX 5-20X50i

There is a sfp SWFA 3-15x42 on flea bay right now (I think SWFA stopped offering the sfp model) for $499 w/ a Burris Pepr mount (could offer him less if you don't need the mount). It ticks all your boxes and if you have a problem with it swfa is very helpful. Precise turret tracking (like swfa's) is hard to find on scopes in this price range.

I'm sort of hoping for more magnification. I already have the SWFA 10x and the 12x. So I was hoping for more magnification.
But I do love the SWFA Reticle.
I'll message the guy on Ebay.

Thank you!

I have, or have had all the scopes you listed except my EVX was the 6-24.

I was disappointed with the Viper Pro because the focus was horribly sloppy. Same on the replacement.

The EVX is a great scope, but for me the turret zeroing rings were too easy to loosen because I cant feel the turrets well due to neuropathy.

The Aztec is great as well, but the one I still have doesnt have an IR.

The caveat to all that is that I have replaced them all because I became addicted to better glass for my old eyes so i wouldn't buy any of them again.

I would recommend the Bushnell Engage 30mm tube 4-16x44 or the 6-24x50. Note that if you’re military or retired military, police or firefighter you can get Bushnell for 40% off. Great scope for the money. Lightweight, clear glass, repeatable turrets, good reticle, focus to 10 yards, great warranty.

Where do I take advantage of the discount?

Sightron STAC 4-20. Beats the other three by far in my opinion. Personally I don't like the optisan and hawke glass, the Aztec suffers clarity and resolution in less ideal lighting conditions. Never had these flaws with the sightron STAC series :)

I will second the Sightron S-TAC 4-20 recommendation. I have two of them, and will probably buy a third shortly. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it is a great scope. I have one on a RAW HM1000, an FX Crown, and will probably put another on my Red Wolf, assuming the new barrel fixes my problem with it. And the Sightron customer service is as any I have encountered. I had an issue with one, and they immediately replaced it, no questions asked.

I agree the swfa mil-quad and half mil-dot on my sidewinder are the 2 best reticles that I have used on my airguns.

Also, I bet that the Nightforce will focus a lot closer then 25 yards on the lower magnification settings if needed occasionally.

@toku58, look at Expert Voice and sign up. They have at least 40% off Bushnell, Vortex, and Weaver scopes. Plus hundreds of other brands for outdoor sports. I have bought a few of these scopes in the past year. Last one was the 6-24x50 for my .30 FX Bobcat. Total including shipping and tax was about $301. Actually for a smaller bull pup I’d recommend the 4-16x44 version.

I was looking at the sightron and I really like the reticle! actually it's one of my favorite so far.
But I'm a bit weary about a scope made in the Philippines?

I'm sort of leaning towards the bushnell forged series in the Terrain 2.5-15x50

Anyone have experience with these?
