Scope mount

You need to attach a picattiny scope rail.

Are you good working with your hands? Do you have tools? If not you should send it to a gunsmith. Otherwise you need to drill and tap some screw holes to attatch the rail.

Hey bud. ....that's a rifle? If so I believe you can't put a scope on what I see. That pipe have air in there??

Looks like an old Springer, it will be quite a project to mount a scope on that one! You may want to keep that one as is and find a more modern version with scope grooves milled into the receiver. I suspect that by the time you pay a gunsmith to do the work you'll be paying a lot more than the rifle is worth. If it weren't for the recoil, you might be able to glue on some mounts with JB weld epoxy, but this would be hard to do accurately.

It's a springer so the mounting screws will very likely be in the way of the mainspring unless the trigger block is pretty long, guess they could be just long enough to go through mount and receiver, but there's not much depth to work with.

I put a weaver rail on a old shot gun using J B weld .That was over ten years ago and still holding up.Mark your spot sand rail and the spot on the rifle coruse grit sand paper

Maybe you can look around and find a old timer welder and have him braze a rail on That let you have aluminum and steel, you wouldn't have to worry about having is perfectly straight, iron it out with adjustable mount
