The setup ( firmware ) look fairly generic as it is also my feeling it is on these type of cameras and the dashcams i am more used to deal with.

Modders often pull out a lot better performance from dashcams in regard to low light performance and noise reduction, sadly the companies them self dont seem to care much in making these improvements though the modders are usually pretty forthcoming.

I am pretty sure these cameras share much if not all with many dashcams, SOC / sensors and so on.



Here is a example of dashcam footage, stock footage first, and then after a modder have torn into the firmware to change parameters..

This is from a 4K dashcam so of course with their higher pixel count come smaller pixels and so less good at capturing light, but you see the same gains on cameras made with sony starvis sensors or similar low light sensors in 1080p or 1440p.
