Okay, here goes. I have successfully used Hammers, Centerpoint and Simmons scopes on my rifles. Hammers scopes particularly on the break barrels. Hammers scopes can take the punishment from my Hatsan Striker 1000x and Winchester 1400cs. But the hammers mounts will walk and don't fit the scope stop holes on any of mine. The Hammers stop pins aren't threaded either, besides being too large in diameter. And on the Striker, The Hammers mount walked backwards 1/2", no matter how tight I got it. So, I hatched a plan. I removed the Hammers 4-bolt rail from the 3-9x32AO mildot scope and got out the Winchester mounts that came on their scope with the1400cs. 2 bolts on the rear ring, 1 bolt front. Then I spaced them to take two Hatsan scope stops with screws (it has 4 threaded scope stop holes) And used my Dremel and a drum sander to grind both ends of the one stop down about 1/64th of an inch. So I now use 2 Hatsan scope stops against each other and the rings bolted snugly up against them.
On the Winchester 1400cs, I used a Hammers 4-12x40AO mildot scope. But right off the bat, I also ordered (both scopes from Amazon seller Treadpro, real good seller). The Instapark 5-bolt Magnum air rifle mount for $20. It finally started slipping back a bit about 50 rounds or so ago.
So I'm thinking a heavier scope stop will be in order? Otherwise, that mount is working pretty good on the 1400cs .177 ultra magnum that kicks like lil mule.
