I think you are looking at the fullblown top of the line cutting edge Professionally Modified Back Bone Camera version for $1250. Please do not be confused, this setup I am showing here is another unit entirely. The $1250 USD unit is for the Side-Shot and a professionally modified GoPro Hero 7 camera from BackBone. The BackBone Gopro costs $999 of that $1250 price tag you mentioned. This method I am presenting. give the guy or gal who already own a HERO4 Black, HERO4 Silver, HERO3+, HERO3, the ability to use their own camera only buy the GoPro Side-Shot as the camera holder per se.

it is also possible to replace the lens on gopro 7 and use it on a side shot.
many have gopro 7 already.
so i asked what should be the lens gopro 7 camera to work properly with side shot?

The same rules would apply as I described in detail in my video. The stock lens would need to be adjusted to align with the eye relief focus of the scope. Fisheye can be removed in post production. The lens in the 5, 6 and 7 can be loosened just like the 3 or 4 but because the lens is tucked down in further, gripping the lens with a tool to turn it is difficult on the 5 6 and 7. FYI I have loosened my lens on my 5 and 6 but it required me to create a very specialized tool to be able to grip that lens to turn it. The only other way is to complete diassemble the camera so you can properly grip the lens in the standoff. The issue is that the 5, 6 and 7 have the plastic face plate heavily glued to the camera body which is another reason why the Rage Cam or Back Bone versions have a new machined metal face.

Thanks for another great video Haj, I will be seriously considering this route. Was looking at the phoneskope, but if I can convince my brother to gift me his GoPro I’m halfway there.

I donated my gopro 7 black with my lovely desire.
at us gopro 4 € 200 i bought a gopro 7 black for 300 € new.
so buy another 4 unwanted desires.

Awesome vid, Haji! Came at a perfect time, as I’m starting my research on scope cams. iPhone or go pro, is still in debate, as I know nothing about a GoPro, except that my kid uses his for his Instagram vids.

Pasakykite, ar objektyvas gopro 4 bus tinkamas ten, kur jį rasite juodame „gopro 7“?

I haven't found the gopro 7 lens so far that it would be the same parameter as you got on your video.

I have found several 3mm to 6mm non distortion lens for the Hero5,6 and 7. I will not share the sources of these finds as I have not personally bought from these found vendors some of which are on Ali Express, but trust me they are out there. Also look at Ragecam as they have lots of options.
