I would have sent you to north shore compressor. I've dealt with them many times over the years. Their staff is helpful and friendly. Their products are very high quality.

The only way I can think of to lower your price is to change something else in your system so that you only have to buy one fitting, if that's even a possibility.

Another source you might check with is Joe at Airtanksforsale.com

No, Digger, my compressor and all of my other bottles have a DIN 300 fitting. I bought out an estate from the family of an air gunsmith, and one of the items left is an Interpsiro SCBA tank rated for 4500 psi, but the yoke for filling is only rated for 3000 psi which seems very common. To fill the take to capacity I'll have to use a female 300 DIN to female SCBA adapter.

The North Shore is probably the one I'll go with:

It's about half the price of TAG. The last two my buddy bought were only about $35, but they're a little hard to find.

Why not just swap the valve for a DIN 300 unit. They can be found for less than $25 on Ali Express. I bought this one for a new bottle. It's a simple no-frills example and the quality is very good. It has metric threads so probably won't fit your tank but they are available in different sizes from other suppliers. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000026760786.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.70384c4dPrpMgI

That's actually a good question, and solution. I didn't realize that was available at that price. The only downsides I can see, are that the current valve does have a manometer to show bottle pressure, though that isn't really a hardcore need.

The bottle is rated for 4500 psi, but those darn yokes you buy for filling are only rated for 3000 psi, so you can't dead head it to get a bottle pressure, but again that's not mandatory.

The only other possible concern I see is that the Ali valve is rated for 30Mpa which I believe works out to about 4351 psi.

Yeah, the bottle gauge, IMHO, is only a luxury that can be easily substituted by other methods. As for the valve being rated for 300 bar rather than 4500 PSI is only to simplify the description. There would be no difference in the internal specifications as one labeled 4500 PSI. In other words, there is no danger of it having a meltdown if you slightly exceed its listed W.P. The DIN 300 interface is only rated for 300 bar or 30 MPA if you like but is safe for more than twice that.
