I have a problem with buying off any of the classified on any of the forums. I would probably post the guys name to see if anyone has dealt with the user and find his track record in the forum. 

THERE NEEDS TO BE A BETTER WAY TO VET SELLERS IN THE CLASSIFIED AREA. maybe a form that needs to be completed with AGN before you can be a seller.
