Several years ago I picked up a Slavia 634 .177 at Corlaines in Dawson Creek.
Hadn’t ever seen one before and it looked pretty slick and I thought it would be fun to take home and mess around with.
It shot pretty rough when new and the non adjustable trigger was a little heavy. It was shooting about 650 FPS.
I ordered a Titan spring for it and took it all apart for a deburr and tune and refinish the stock.
I polished the trigger sear, cleaned and polished all the parts.
I used an aluminum pop can to make a piston sleeve.
Put it all back together with the new Titan spring and now the way it cocks and shoots is absolutely amazing. The trigger is super crisp and the cycle is just a quick quiet thud.
and it shoots average 740 FPS now with JSB exacts. And amazing groups. At 25-30 yards, I hit sugar cubes with no effort. Under 1” groups all day long.
This gun was only about 175$ Canadian brand new.
For that price, and how amazingly capable this gun is, I’d recommend one to anyone if you are lucky enough to find one. Amazing pellet rifle for the price.

Thanks for sharing your experience with your springer and it's great knowing that there're certain things that you could do to help make it a better shooter.  I'll never forget where this hobby first started with me a few decades ago and springers will always be here when pcps have run out of their last breath of air.  "Under 1” groups all day long." isn't bad for a springer that shoots an average of 740 FPS.

They are great little guns.  I liked the 630 too and it is less powerful.

That looks pretty nice! Anyone with a Slavia springer has a real gem of a rifle.

I am not sure if they are still being made. I sure hope they are.
if they aren’t, I wouldn’t hesitate to pick one up if you happen across one. Not just 634 but any Slavia pellet rifle.

I agree. I kinda got the bug too and I’d have to say I like springers the most. Have all types and they are all fun but springers are tops for me.

I had two CZ Slavia 634's in .22 cal, both shot about 11fpe.  I brought them both new about 11 years ago, sweet for the price and accurate.  I regret selling them, I look for one in .22 cal every few months but I don't see them I guess the .22 cals were discontinued.  Last I read somewhere some other company was making them, Perun 734???

The barrels on them were made by cz so they were very accurate

Mine is .177 and it is extremely accurate considering the price. These rifles are shooting way above their price point I think.
mine shoots about 750 with jsb exact 8.4.
I just picked it up in a whim about 7-8 years ago. Happy with it in .177. Have HW95 (R9) in .22 so I don’t feel like I’m missing out.

I’ve heard it said that these 634s have been called “the poor man’s R7”. They really got pretty much everything right when they built these.
