Tuning Safety miss fire

I’ve never touched anything on trigger. I’ll back it away tomorrow. When the gun was resting the safety never prematurely fired. It only happened when the gun was rolling close to bag and I released the safety at the same time with premature fire.
Come to think of it I was shooting this gun yesterday and in the afternoon when I was trying to caulk it it wouldn’t catch. I had to caulk it about 8-9 times before it caught and it never did that again after. Thanks for advice Crow

Also try flushing out the trigger mechanism with some gun cleaner spray. Take the action out of the stock so the stock finnish does not get damaged from the cleaner. I have saw where a glob of grease has gotten into the sear/safety mechanism and cause it not to set completely. If that doesnt help then the trigger sear adjustment is set to light.

The gold screw was almost falling out. Is Locktite OK to use on this screw? Crow

That metal tab where the adjustment screw threads into is supposed to be bent to keep the adjuster from backing out. Many tines they are not bent enough to cause friction on the threads. You might want to try bending that tab a little more ir just go ahead and use the blue loctite. Be sure to let it dry overnight after you get it adjusted. It will take some time to dry but yoy should be able to make adjustments while it is wet. The green stuff dries quickly but should be heated before breaking it loose or the threads could be damaged
