I think the thread is a rambling concern that something might be changing in the UK Airgun laws and referenced the changes London wanted to make to the delivery of certain knives favored by criminals.
I am unaware of any proposed changes to UK Airgun Laws at this point in time. The UK Laws seem to be stable, with only the changes in Scotland a couple years ago making any news.
My own comments above were about the changes in safety in London. Granted, when I lived in London, the IRA was lobbing grenades around downtown, but I felt perfectly safe there, living in Kilburn (also called, Little Paddi Land) at the time. The references to knives were in respect to the April articles in the US press about the London murder rate, mostly by stabbing, equaling New York City, which isn't good.
I don't believe it's a sad day in the UK for airgun owners at all. Just a continuation of normality, really don't know where the thought airguns were in trouble came from.
Long winded explanation, sorry bout that, sometimes I type faster than I think (sad isn't it??)
