SAD DAY IN THE UK

Just a ploy to get more money that they will waste on something stupid. The only thing a governmsnt excells at is wasting money.

Scotland required licensing all air guns in 2016, but I don't see anything about the UK following. Scotland had massive problems getting the licensing scheme going, though I don't know how it's working today.

Do you have any references to what's happening in the UK today?

Nothing in the UK surprises me. I actually had to explain to my fellow Americans that to receive TV broadcasts over the air in England, you must pay a special "tax" to watch it. If they believe you are watching over the air TV and not paying the tax, the fine and repercussions are even worse. The UK is tax crazy.

It has been stated many times already. A brief resume of UK airgun law

I know nothing about the last two,

All airguns are classified as Firearms and are subject to that Act of Parliament. Scotland has it's owns laws. So just Wales and England. Not sure about Norther Ireland.
Under that act air rifles are allowed under 12 foot pounds energy (appx 16 joules) to be owned ( subject to age restrictions) and be legally used without a Fire Arms Certificate (FAC) and therfore not be registered /declared. The use of these air rifles are allowed within certain parameters.
Air pistols are restricted to under 6FPE. 
Over those limits all air rifles have to be on a FAC which like Powder Burners is subject to varying regulations and usage . The air pistol section is more tightly controlled and as such no Powder burning pistols are licensed ( except under very special circumstances).

Scotland requires all air rifles to be licensed. This law is now in force. Prior to enactment the Police determined they didn't have sufficient resources to cope. It made no difference. According to UK press there are appx 500,000 air guns in scotland and about 2% are now licensed.
From time to time the great British media egged on by other minor opinionated bodies raise a clamour against their use. So far this nonsense has found no Government support. 
A personal feeling is that most British citizens think every gun should be outlawed. They are now focused on knife laws. Afterwards doubtless golf clubs, baseball bats etc.
Do not be surprised to learn that big city dwelling youngsters have no idea what a chicken looks like or where eggs/potatoes come from. Their parents think the countryside is where you go to throw away your plastic drink bottles etc.

You might get a better understanding if you look into Brexit The Movie, seems like anything they can tax or regulate gets changed or revamped annually. A crony system that's layered with economic policies that feed the rest of the EU Their murder rate is exceeding the US for the first time.

Not to be critical. 
1. You let them take your rifles
2. You let them take your pistols
3. I dont know how the ammo works???
4. They lock up your shot guns. Now they`re taking your air guns.
Truly, what did you think was going to happen? Why would they stop?

Now maybe you can understand why we`re so fanatical about the 2nd ammendment!
