RWS'so best kept secret!

I have had it for just a month. Very impressed! I love my rws 34 .177 and 350 .22 but was looking for a 22 underlever. I knew about the 460 but enjoy my RWS 34 more than my 350. So I heard about the 430 but could not find any you tube videos on it. Really glad I got it. Great accuracy off sticks or bags. 3/4 inch groups are pretty easy at 30 yards. Find it interesting that these are not more popular. I think it must be the more power crowd. Give me moderate power and great accurate any day! Keep your filling intact to! Lol.

If you're happy with those groups then i'm happy for ya. On the other hand most accuracy snobs, me being one of them would have that thing torn down and tuned if not just returned if thats the best it can do. You should be able to produce 1/2 inch or less groups at that range with any of the better springers. Like i said though, i'm an accuracy snob. I hope you continue to enjoy your gun.

Yes. If you look at the pic. The group on the left has 4 of 5 under a dime. But I am sure it is more capable than that. But that being said. I think that at 56 years old and near sighted I could get half inch groups if I was torn down and lubed. Lol. I don't consider myself a great shooter in other words. I am probably still at the novice level. Half inch groups are pretty easy with my pcp's at thirty yards but with springers I am still a work in progress. Love this sport though and plan on getting improving. I have tuned my rws 34 but not this one. Maybe someday after I eat out all I can from it. It is not even broken in yet. Less than 100 or so shots.

If I'm not mistaken, this model is more akin to the 280, which is a bit less powerful than the 34, but still enough for small game. I would love to have one myself. I would not disagree with you on the "more power crowd". Way too much emphasis there. Having said that, however, the sticker price of the 430 is the problem for me and I suspect for others as well. You could get an HW50 (in the same class power-wise) and have enough left over for a decent scope for what a 430 costs.
