Anyone know a shop that rebuilds rws guns i let a buddy borrow my rws 52 and he put gun oil in the chamber!!!! And it has no power now shoots around 600fps!! If so about how much does it cost
IF you are up to it ( and you will need a spring compressor ) they are pretty easy to work on. Nice link (54 but it's the same internals) http://www.eddiecolwell.tzo.com/RWS-54.htm
I've rebuilt/tuned several but never used a tuner, sorry. John
Thanks guys i bought this gun when i was in the marines i always wanted one but were high $ so i ordered a low end rws and they shipped this one they let me keep it so i got lucky
John in PA has a reputation as the Diana guru. The Dianawerk Collective is a good place for advice on these also. I've never used him, but his reputation is stellar. I put a Vortek kit in my Diana 48 and the results were excellent.
I rebuilt my Diana 52 and put a Vortek high power kit in it, its shooting at 23 ft/lbs. it is also my most accurate and favorite springer. if you are mechanical at all you should be able to do it yourself, just take your time. If not, talk to Tom at http://vortekproducts.com ask him what he recommends and who he recommends do it. Jim at Precision Airguns & Supplies did my Beeman R-10, helped me do my Beeman R-7 ( I did some major rework on the R-7 as it had some major issues from the factory ) I did the 52 and my HW 77 myself
