DonnyFL makes adapters for barrels that are not threaded. Does anyone know what the diameter of the barrel is in mm on the RWS 48 -22 caliber after you take off the front sight and has anyone tried one of his adapters on an RWS 48? I asked Donnny but he did not know.

As I understand it, the M48 has a 15mm barrel/full lengrh shim setup, covered by a barrel sleeve. Might be tricky to add an adaptor?

you would need to remove the barrel sleeve to utilize.
And the shim too, don't you think?
A better approach might be to leave the shim and use a baffled shroud?

I measured a HW95 barrel with a cheap harbor freight caliper and it was just a little bigger than what Donny had stock so he drilled it to fit perfectly...Thanks Donny. BTW i guess i should add (no extra charge)

The adaptor would have to be the same length as the front sight, and would have to fit over the sleeve and shim in the same manner.

Finally found an adapter for the RWS 48 from a company called Best Fittings in the U.K. waiting to hear how much shipping is.

Received the adapter today. Adapter did not fit (not even close). Must be a difference between US and European model. Notified Best Fittings UK.

If you look up "snofru2014" on eBay or "snofru2012" on Google, there is a guy that makes and sells adapters of just about any size. He can custom-make just about anything you want at very reasonable prices if you are patient enough to wait for it to clear customs during shipping. TKO also does some interesting custom-work. And of course, DonnyFL. But for the money, if you want an adapter or mod that is built like a brick poop-house, my first suggestion is the most bang for your buck if you don't mind the hair-pulling that USPS can offer once it lands in the U.S.
