Rws 48 .177 t01 trigger rebuild by Fang.

First, a big shout out to Fang for doing this project. Gun was low on power (15 fpe) and making grinding noise when cocking. First a call to JM for parts. A Zrt spring, breach seal, apex seal and set spring. Fang polished all parts, trigger job, removed front sights, made/installed feeling muzzle brake and buffed out stock. Totally amazed at the outstanding quality of work Fang did on this one. Very happy camper. I put 350 pellets down range in 2 days. Got her zeroed @ 45 yds. Shooting jsb 10.3 @ 875 for 18 fpe. This sparrow taken @ 45 yds headshot. Just punished spinners out to 70 yds after zero. This one a real shooter. Again, many thanks Fang.

Many thanks Thomas! Glad the rebuild has turned out great and should only get better. Barrel was stripped and light lap. Crown addressed, all power plant was polished and spring ends truly a full flat face. Lathe honed sliding Compression tube and receiver. Little to debur on these guns. Muzzle brake is BLK delrin. Made to do slide overthe sight groove on this model and snugs the barrel sleeve. Krytox lubes.

This gun did have something that got in the rear area off the rear sliding compression tube as you can see the before and after plus a similar indication in the lower receiver. Worked to the best possible . Twang free build.

Trigger was worked but still in a safe setup. Could have been made lighter but I work others triggers not as I Shoot. I shoot LIGHT triggers.

Thanks again for the opportunity to work this gun and thanks for you comments. 💀

Sham, I am new here and am trying to learn as much as possible. I also have an older Diana 48 in .22 which was rebuilt by David Slade at Airgunwerks. It shoots so much smoother but not terribly happy with the trigger. It pulls hard and is not a two stage so never quite know when it will fire. My primary question is what scope do you have on your 48? I see that it appears you are not using any kind of drooper mount. I have been looking for a good scope and am getting many different opinions from the retailers hence my question to someone who actually has and shoots one!!!

Woodchip, welcome to the forum. We have a bunch of good guys/gals here. Some very knowledgeable and helpful. I made a few changes to the 48. Rws lockdown mounts an a hawke vantage 1/2 md 6-24. You are on the right track with the DS tune. Call David and he will walk you through a slight screw adjustment on trigger. Nice guy to work with. He did my fwb 124d, r9 .177 and my fx tarantula. You said your 48 is early model. That would have the t01 trigger. Very nice trigger. If you have ?'s , shoot me a pm.
