RWS 34 with a new set of spectacles on it......really loving it!

Good evening fellas. Hope that all of you have had a fine day today. I sure did. This morning after coffee, I mounted my new Hawke 4x32 scope and BLK base and rings on the RWS 34. Have been using the open sights til now. I've been waiting for an off day to get this done....finally today we got to it. Boy, I'll tell you what! I am so pleased and happy with how this combo has turned out. Now...it took a little work trying to get everything "dialed in" the right way. But, I finally got it figured out. Initially had issues getting descent groups. Honestly I didn't think it was me, however I thought maybe it was the gun being a little "hold sensitive" because of it being a springer. Nope. Wasn't that either. I was shooting RWS 14.5 grain Superdomes. Could not group well. Then I remembered that I had one tin of RWS 14.25 grain Super H-Points. Not a big selection right.......but it's all I have so let's just try it and see. That did it! I all of sudden began getting nice tight groups....at least a heck of a lot tighter than they were. Finally reached a point where I could put the turret caps back on and call it good. Really pleased with this little scope and of course love the RWS 34. The Hawke seems to be a really nice little scope for the money. Now I feel very confident to take small game i.e.......squirrels with it. I took a few pics to share. First time to post pics so I hope it turns out ok. The target shown was at 28 yards.....I used a range finder. We can call it 30.....close enough for government work right?

Thank you so much....TR

I would be curious about how well that Hawke holds up to your 34's recoil cycle. My 34 .22 took a few scopes apart. For the money it looks real nice along with that lifetime Hawke warranty I just read online. I have a second 34 .22 in need of another scope. I sold a NIB Nikon 3-9x EFR warranty replacement to my neighbor. It now sits on a new Ruger American .22LR

I saw that review, too. Also saw the Hawke reply of it being rated only for under 12 FPE guns.

Tired Rooster, how do those Copenhagen pellets shoot in your 34?

Nice groups in the photos. Varmints beware.

Seveno8....We'll see how this Hawke holds up. I know how Hawke rates this scope and I also have heard of many fellas that have had one hold up really well on some heavy springers. We will find out first hand and I'll let y'all know if it peckers out on me. And as far as those Copenhagen pellets. Well......they have a pretty sorry trajectory, and quite honestly don't group very well either. I appreciate it.....
