.177 in the wind

Got to shoot my recently swapped .177 barrel in the RTI today a tiny bit as it was a busy day and was windy but thought why not try it. Best shot today holding 2 Mil for wind I think was around 80-85 yards. 10.3gr JSB at 920fps straight to the chest DRT. Fun watching these pellets curve in the wind and hit your target!

@diaryboy well done and I salute you in your efforts against the Invasives. I had many 70 plus yard shots with my prophet compact 177, I will probably never to be able to replace that guy because of the uniqueness of its 177 CZ barrel.

Good shot! Are you planning on keeping it in 177 or are you going to try and swap back and forth? I know I’ve heard a lot of people say that swapping calibers seems like a good idea but, because of having to retune, it can be a pain. What are your thoughts on that?

Thanks all! Yeah the .177 can do the job when it hits where it needs to!

So the plan is I will be swapping barrels but not often. I wanted the .177 to try slugs so that was my initial want with it. It won't be changed often maybe 2 times a year. I enjoy .22 way too much to only leave it .177 but just to have something different. Just got my NSA 12.5gr slugs so will be playing with those.

Dillon, if the NSA .177 slugs shoot like a laser....you might just stick with .177! LOL! I too am a dedicated .22 shooter, just a great caliber for my needs...but a .177 slug shooter....

Yeah Randall it's been over a year and a half since I owned a nice .177 all others have been .22. While .22 is king to me it's fun to switch it up and .177 is just nice to shoot super docile.
