Additional details can be found on the RMAC website.

I can see problems arising from this. I know many guys that have put hundreds of hours and many dollars into their Gauntlets and Marauders. So I think the Budget category should be better defined. Stock gun with only “normal” tweaks to the gun such as HST adjust, factory trigger adjust, bore lapping, etc. Replacement regulators, barrels, etc. shouldn’t be allowed in the budget category. Basically STOCK guns only would make sense IMHO.

There is a more detailed description of the Budget Class on the RMAC website, which will be shown tomorrow morning when registration opens. Here is the description:

*Budget - We are super excited to unveil the Budget Class for RMAC 2019. This will allow shooters to compete against equipment in the same price range. The MSRP value of the gun must be under $750.00 out of the factory. Here are some other guidelines regarding this class:

  • There is no dollar limit on value of scope or other external accessories (mounts, stock, etc).
  • We know that airgunners are some of the most creative and crafty hobbyists. With that being said minor internal modifications to the gun are allowed, but a majority of the gun must remain stock (barrel, action, trigger, regulator, etc). If you have made internal modifications you will need to pass inspection from an RMAC employee prior to shooting.
  • The internal modifications + the gun value cannot exceed the $750.00 limit.
  • If you have questions about your gun and if it would qualify, please contact us prior to the event to clear it ahead of time.

Hopefully this provides a little more clarity. We don't want to get into discussing hypotheticals, but if anyone registers and has questions on the their gun or the rules please let us know.

Thanks!

Team RMAC

Sorry, we filled up a lot faster than expected. Honestly we were really debating even having 25-meter, as it was the least participated event of ours last year. A majority of people coming to RMAC are coming because it is not a traditional benchrest shoot. Our main focus has, and always will be, on the other events that make RMAC unique. Unfortunately, 25-meter is an extremely time consuming event to run and with limited time and benches there were only 60 spots for this year.

Too bad. Thanks for the explanation. Don’t want to sit around while 60 other guys shoot that paid the same entry fee but got to shoot every event. Maybe next year...

How about dropping the entry fee by 20% or so since 25M is filled? This way those of us that want to come don’t feel ripped off when the 60 guys are shooting 25M BR and the rest of us are just sitting around waiting? I know of 3 other guys from SD that cancelled their plans because of this...

PS., it’s kinda hard to say the main focus of the event is not BR when the biggest prizes are for the 75/100 yard events... just a thought.
