Has anyone tried one of these on their air rifles? Seems like it would be useful for shooting at ranges past point blank to get a quick range and then holdover and shoot. Normally I use my binoculars to spot game, then shift to the hand held rangefinder, then use scope, holdover, and shoot. This would appear to eliminate a step and make things happen more quickly…

Yes, I think I’m going to buy one for use on my .30 FX Bobcat “Terminator”…  Its already heavy and with the Hawke Sidewinder, what’s a few more ounces…?  ;)

Works very well with night vision because you can see the laser flashing. Just put flashing light on whatever you are shooting and look at the screen to find yardage. Problem is flashing light is invisible to the naked eye.

I just ordered one on ebay for $123 shipped after watching Steve’s video. His intro showing the swich from scope to range finder to scope rang a bell with me. After I receive it I’ll decide what I need to order to mount it. I’d like to use it on a couple of different rifles. It’s my b-day (this week) present to myself.

I found this some time back, shared and didn’t get any feed back. Thought it a great idea still do!
Don’t have to mount just on top I’m thinking!
I love watching the hunting videos, we as a hunters all do! The guy is right we suck at distance!
I look forward to see were this gadget goes!

The only problem I foresee is shooting out at like 200 yards+.  I use LOTS of turret play when I shoot so having some sort of cowitness with my scope’s crosshairs might not be too exact the further out you go, unless you keep the turrets in one spot for lasing and then after gaining your yardage info you can begin to dial in your turrets for elevation/windage….

Any experience on this matter?  I’ve got various iterations in my Amazon cart and need more feedback before I commit.

ETA:  being I have a first focal plane scope it won’t matter, but on second focal plane scopes you’d probably want to lase the target at a single given zoom level and not stray too much.

Would you do a review on it for us after you receive it and use it for a while? Thanks,

Haji, I’ve watched that vid a few times.  The product has me interested, but I need more research for sure before I commit.  My rig’s heavy enough as it is!  I mostly shoot off the bipod, but still shoot off-hand now and again.
