Revere Fill Probe Issue

So my new Revere arrived today from Baker Airguns. Big shout out to Dennis & Donny who went above and beyond.

New scope is mounted, Picatinny rail has an Accutac bipod in place, strap is on the studs, and the Donny FL is seated stately on the end of the barrel. Time to air it up.

Really? Okay every Foster fitting, 90 degree elbow, adapter, and Dowty seal I own is 1/8" BSPP. What is this thing?

Airgun 101's review said it's BSPP, but the calipers show it to be .3795" on the outside of the threads instead of .3580". I can't verify the thread pitch as I have nothing that fits it.

Have you tried to screw the probe directly into the hose after removing the female foster quick disconnect?

No, I try not to continually be unscrewing that one from the fill whip. I did try to screw this into some of my 1/8" BSPP adapters, elbows, etc. It's seems just slightly too big to thread. Since it doesn't seem to be something you identified immediately I guess I'll go back out there and hit it lightly with some Emery paper and try again just in case it's a bad cut.

Ah, I see why you were concerned, Yo. The extra Fosters I have came from AoA. All the extra adapters, fittings etc., came from Best, or Burnett & Hillman; both over in the UK. I should have mentioned that to you.

Okay, what we're dealing with are wild tolerances.

Here is a measurement on the first fitting I tested:

Here is a reading on a male-female fitting from Burnett & Hillman in the UK:

Here is a Foster that came with the LCS SK:

Now here is the fill probe that came with the Revere:

Yo, before you say, wait dude, earlier you said the probe was .3795. Yep. You're right. I did. Something else I found is that the threads are out of round. If I turn that slightly I can get multiple different readings.

So, the Foster fitting will not screw into the female quick connect from Best, and neither will the fill probe. However, one of my 90 degree male-female elbows will screw into the female quick connect from Best, and it will screw into both the probe and the Foster:

So, I ran into the lab and put these things under one of the microscopes. I should have used the microscope cam to show you how out of round these things really were.

The bottom line though is that once you guys didn't immediately say, "Oh, you've got a Chinese Flux Thread" or something else commonly known I thought maybe the female adapter was the problem and I just didn't check it closely enough.

So, some cleaning up the threads with a jeweler's saw, some steel wool, a little fine Emery and then off to all the fittings. Trying to force it in the smallest one caused thread issues, but I lined up all my female adapters from largest to smallest with a drop of machine oil. Then slowly worked them like tapping a bolt and stair stepped them down one female adapter at a time. Finally got it into the adapter.

I never would have started out doing all that though. I was afraid instead of a BSPP, perhaps it was a NPT thread. When you guys both agreed something wasn't right, I knew that wasn't the case.

Thanks for your wisdom.

I would think TO INQUIRE!!! REVERE probe NOT LISTED best to inquire with them for to your REVERE it's cheaper than spending $20 for a separate male foster fitting since theirs already built in. They supply regulators for Daystate and Brocock so Its safe to assume they would make a probe for the Huntsman and Revere.
