I saw that Valken Sports is the new U.S. distributor for Retay Air guns.

    Read more here:

I looked on Retay’s website at there guns, and they are definitely unique looking. Being a Turkish company, there is some obvious design cue’s from Hatsan.
What little information on Retay that is out there is limited but the reviews seem generally positive.

I checked Valken’s website and they make no mention of being a Retay distributor.

MOD EDIT: moved to “Springers Pumpers” section.

Your link is broken.  It’s relative to this site.

A few reviews are NO GOOD i.e.: exploding in a shooters hands while shooting.

    Thats enough for me. Lol

    Fixed the link.

Hadn’t read anyone saying they explode… bummer, they really look nice though.

I suppose explode was a harsh word, but one experienced shooter of 40+ years said it “failed so miraculously, he was shocked he didn’t drop it on the cement” and further damage it.

They look neat, but safety first for me!

Wow. Retay made it in here quick. Funny.

Thanks for for the review Peter. Sounds similar to everybody else’s experiences as well.

Two conflicting forum reviews… On GTA, everyone loves them while on Airgun forum it’s the opposite. I will keep my eyes open for some more current reviews.

I owned a 135x for less than two days before returning it to the local supplier. We’ve had them here in Canada for a few years now. I didn’t write a review on it because I found it wasn’t worthy . I replaced it with a 135 Hatsan . Although the Hatsan had some of its own issues they were nowhere near what I found with the retay. One would only have to look at the cocking arm slot to make their decision. Just my opinion,of course they may have fixed that issue while manufacturing the latest batch.
