Resurrected my S&W 79G :)

Thanks to fellow 78G/79G owners, on both AGN & GTA, I was able to tear down & rebuild my .177 79G. I bought it new back in the late 70's & last shot it in '89.

After a thorough scrubbing in Ballistol, followed by new urethane seals & mac1 revised exhaust valve, I was ready to test.

I stacked 5 rds of 8.8gr H&N coppers on paper at 10 feet, then set up my steel(thanks, Crusher!) outside and shot 5 more rds at 15yds in 15-20 mph sidewinds.

I'm a happy camper :)

Thanks guys. Part of the fun is searching for the right pellet/valve setting. I sure can see the slippery slope of a more powerful/different/accurate air pistol/rifle, but generally I prefer to shoot what I have more often instead.

Yesterday I shot at a local 10M silhouette match and hit 6 of the 40 critters. It wasn't gun that missed. I figure that Tiger Woods could still shoot a pretty good round with a $200 set of Kmart golf clubs found at a garage sale for $30.
