Results with Artemis PP700 so far

Exactly what it is.



Hobby man and I have obtain 4 Brownell's .224 barrel liners, and will use them in different builds. His, an FX Impact and an Artemis PP 700 and mine, a Rainstorm II and another Artemis PP 700. Well see how it goes.



the barrel liner is almost identical to the FX liner ind o.d.. the FX at .311 and the Brownell's offering at .3155. or is it exactly the opposite, GRRRR!!! At any rate, the liner fits the o rings and tube no the FX Impact perfectly. ;<)

You may want to re think that. The shroud isn't just hanging there. It is actually pensioning the barrel. Which is normally available only on the most expensive airguns. Such as the AAA, Flex, Warp, Raptor and a very few others.



I don't doubt that it has great deal to do with their outstanding accuracy.

I would open up the lede with a cratex rubber abrasive in a dremel type tool for easier pellet insertion though.

this is one gun that it is easy to check barrel alignment and ldc on. Cock, open port, point at bright back ground and sight down the bore. Any dark area showing is a clipping possibility. and easy to correct once found.



I have made a few more changes to the pistol. I am a 1911 shooter, and fund the angle of the grip far too angled for my shooting style. I don't like the broken wrist hold so popular in European guns.



I removed the palm swells, finger groves. (which only fit some people well.), changed the interior angles, removed much of the under trigger guard material on both the pistol grips and trigger guard. And removed the arched back strap area to a straight strap more in line with my 1911 .45's. There was an area in the center of the back strap that did not checker well as it was very flexible as it was almost sanded thru. Later backed with JB Steel Putty, it quite solid. I will re-cut the checkering finally it was bead blasted.

I may spray it with truck bed liner as after bead blasting it is still too slick. Possibly I will stipple it. We'll see. ;<)



Before the mods, the green dot of the Holo sight was way up in the air at first presenting the ag. Now it falls exactly in line whit where the sights would be if not blocked by the Holo sight. this make the pistol much quicker on target.



I use this pistol for night hunting for scorpions on my range. It is equipped with a 365 nM black light which makes them glow much like a chem light. Bright, and zombi green. LOL 



Before I was using a S&W co2 ag made by S&W back in the 70's.



Count so far for Scorpions killed this season since May 21st is 1111 so far. Yep! That is one thousand, one hundred and 11 so far. Bad this week. Seems they don't come out much in low light. Much better hunting in moon light conditions. But it makes them harder to see glowing in the dark. GRRRRR!!!



the grip has been checkered both on the front strap and rear straps. As you can see, I'm not there yet wit my checkering I will get better eventually. The tape is there to give the JB Epoxie a wall to adhere to while it cures. Under neath is glad wrap to keep it from sticking to the grip frame.

What I was after was two fold. One, to more closely match the 1911, and tow, to not have the holo dot way up in the air. Now is presented dead center of the window. Quickly for those fast shots. ;<) 

I briefly had a dot on mine and always found myself searching for it. My dot was a lot like yours with a small window. Know I know why. Grip angle. When I did find it and center it, I wasn’t comfortable. I too am very comfortable with the 1911. I even switched my Glock frame to a P80 which is more 1911 like.



I too find the P80 grip much more comfortable. Seems the Europeans never really understood pistol craft. and it shows in the ergonomics. Sadly. .



Even bead blasted, the grip i sfar too smooth. May very well truck bed liner coat it. ;<)
