The Evanix Max ML 22 was my first PCP air rifle almost 8 months ago. Due to simply not knowing any better, I scoped the Evanix with a huge (and heavy) UTG 8-32x56 scope that was on sale including rings. The scope actually served well with no problems other than the weight on an already fairly heavy Evanix and the scope to barrel height of 3.25". As discussed previously, excessive scope height is manageable but I personally preferred to lower it to allow close in (less than 15 yards) shots a bit more manageable. This is the before shown with my newly acquired Vulcan:

This is after with a SWFA 16x fixed power tactical:

The SWFA is the lightest and clearest glass scope that I own (Hawke & Aeon variables) most likely contributable to the fixed power and less lenses. On the Evanix with medium SWFA rings, the scope to barrel distance is now 2.65" and the total weight is now 9 lbs compared to almost 10 in its previous configuration.

Most of the bullpups discussed on this forum seem to be in the vicinity of $2000 air guns. Just want to mention that the Evanix is a very solid performer for a little over $1000. Frankly, the machining is a little rough here and there, the synthetic stock has a few imperfections, the trigger is not match grade but OK @ 2.5 lbs ...however, in my experience over the last 8 months and shooting almost 1000 rounds of JSB 18 grain, the gun has never miss fed a pellet nor needed repair or cleaning and consistently groups for me < 1/2 inch @ 25 yards. It cycles pellets very smoothly and easily with a side lever from 11 round clips. I get 22 shots from a 200 bar fill from 1020 fps to 970 fps. It may be considered a bit 'hot' by some but given the accuracy, the velocity serves me well taking damaging ground squirrels humanely. My only major complaints with the Evanix in a varmint shooting scenario is the weight and sound. Compared to the 6 lb Vulcan, it is a boat anchor and to my ear, the Evanix 22 is louder than the Vulcan 25. The sound from both is more of a high pitched ping but the Evanix is louder even with the addition of Evanix's optional moderator so do not consider it back yard friendly.

This might not read much as a sales pitch for the Evanix but I do really like it and it will remain my primary hunting choice for accuracy and power. I also enjoy it or relax a bit more in the field being almost half the cost of my FX and Vulcan. For a high velocity reliable 22 reasonably priced (in our world), I highly recommend it.
