replacement barrel for Marauder .22 cal rifle

"Jayman07770"I wouldn't be cutting the baffles, only the shround. Is their anyone on the forum that makes custom lenght Mrod shrouds.

I also don't mind going larger for backyard plinking but will need to keep it stock looking while hunting on public land. The game wardens here aren't to nice when it comes to having any type of suppressor that's not factory made.
The baffles were for making a new shroud if you decided you didn't want to cut into the original (you might want to sell it some day). With the baffle kit, you would just need a tube and threads. It comes with a spring to hold the baffles in place. Thread inserts are cheap on eBay (or other online stores). I bought some m14 x 1.25 thread inserts for a Cricket for $2.50. You can set the threads into a tube using A strong Epoxy putty.

Neil Clague is the man to talk to for custom shrouds if you want to buy one instead of making you own. He'll also be able to help you decide how big it needs to be to achieve your desired level of noise control.

OK the barrel and regulator are in,installed the barrel gave it a good cleaning and installed. Shot the barrel 20 times, cleaned again, shot it for vel. check about 840, cleaned again. Checked for acc. after zeroing, after the barrel got about 20 rounds through it started shooting a dime size whole or less, just about one ragged whole at 40 yards. The barrel cleaned up real quick, about 3 or 4 patches. Now to install the regulator in a few days and see how much better to shoots afterwards.I did notice at 2200 psi is when the smaller group started. Reg. should do well.

I got the same barrel as you but in 19" since I was planning to use a shorter shround. Mine is regulated at 2,200 psi and gets 23 shots on the regulator at 940-950 FPS with JSB 15.89gr. The FPS at shot 30 is 905. Also I'm using a 4" shorter airtube and .30 Hill valve. It's pretty quiet with the full shround plus 1.5 more baffles so I might just keep it this way. I'm super happy with how accurate this barrel shoots.
