Replaced AA S510 Fill Adapter with RAW Foster Fitting Adapter

See the image below. The foster fill adapter on the left is manufactured and offered by RAW. The fill adapter on the right is the proprietary and standard AA fill adapter. The RAW adapter is available for less than $30 and I had it installed using the great instructions furnished in less than 10 minutes. It fits and hides perfectly within the original fill adapter cap giving it total protection from damage and dust when not in use.

I highly recommend this modification. It worked out really well and now can be filled from any of my tank hoses or compressor without any adapter changes.

OK, I'll admit it, I'm a rookie.... but I just bought the best fitting foster's adapter but it came with no instructions. How do you go about releasing all the air in the AA510 and removing the AA fill value? Help please ;)

Just unscrew the factory fill adapter. It will pop when the seal is broken. Probably a good idea to shoot the rifle down to a modest pressure level, but not necessary. As with releasing anything under pressure, it is possible the O ring could come apart, so have it in a position that keeps you safe from any such fragments (not likely).
