We had some cloud cover this morning which kept the temperature down some, so I went out to the dairy for a bit. Only stayed for about an hour then the heat started to increase. Not too bad for the time invested, got 16 collared doves before I left,

The white wing doves outnumbered the collared by about 10 to 1 today. If they were in season (9/1 - 9/15) I could have shot the limit in about 5 minutes.

Isn't that always the way it goes?
Right now there are crows everywhere around the farm properties. Come August 1st when the summer season opens, they will probably be gone. ;-)

Yeah pretty much, actually this morning was a bit slower than usual. This permission no longer has any cows but they still let me shoot there. Plus there are dairies right beside and behind it. When the weather is cooler I'll be seeking permissions from them as well. Chances are there are more birds congregating in the other dairies, but I can't complain about my take. Arizona is target rich.
