I’m not a rep. for this company, and already talked with Michael about posting this. My intent is to share this info with my fellow air gunners. (Maybe I’ll earn my 4th accuracy dot in the process. LOL!)

If you are looking for a used SCBA, and already have a fill setup, these guys might be an option for you. I like their pricing graph because it allows you to shop in 2 different ways; Life left in the bottle, or price your budget will allow.
These guys buy used fire equipment, then refurbish it to sell back to fire departments that might not have the budget to afford buying brand new stuff. It’s a business model that’s pretty easy to understand. They do not have knowledge in airguns.
Since SCBA tanks are very popular with us in the airgun world, I reached out to the president of the company and was able to get Airgun Nation members a discount. Mention “Airgun Nation $20 flat rate shipping” in order to get $20 shipping per cylinder.
I hope this might help someone trying to break the barrier from pumping to bottle.

Here’s a direct link for the SCBA graph.

    Friendly reminders…
SCBA tanks have a life span of 15 years.
They have to have a hydrostatic test performed every 5 years.
Fire Dept. bottles will have a safety spring that holds the bottles valve open (push & turn to close). It’s usually very easy to safely remove yourself or, maybe they would do it for you.
Make sure you have a way/place to refill the bottle.
This is for the bottle only. So, make sure you have a way to connect the bottle to your rifle. I like these guys for high pressure fittings.

    Happy Shooting!

$195.00 for an scba with NO years left seems a bit high.

A tank with no years left has no value at all for most people. You could only get it filled if you had your own compressor.

Try AAA Emergency supply store in White Plains NY. They sell used SCBA tanks with 8 years of life left for much less.

How much is it for 45 minute tanks with 8 years left (and a fresh hydro) with the AGN discount? I would expect to pay $115 – $180 depending on the brand and the condition it’s in.

Go check the bay and use search terms like scba 2015, scba 2014 and see what you get. Using this method of searching you can find scba tanks with whatever life you want.

You have to remember that these are designed to be sold to fire departments. The tanks cost about $900-$1100 brand new to the fire department from what I have read, and I might be wrong on that. These are an affordable price point for the fire departments to save money. Maybe they just need to have one as a demo unit, in which case they could have a use for those.
