My Rosso came with a different battery than the current Redwolfs are supplied with.
The original was 1000mah, the new ones are a higher capacity 1300mah, so should give more shots in theory.
However the new ones have the Tamiya connector so can be charged via that lead rather than the JST, which would be used just for balancing rather than charging.
The Tamiya enables charging at 1C but the supplied charger is lower, but the downside is that the Tamiya connector is not very neatly taped to the side of the battery, not only was I unhappy with this but the battery is not very easy to insert due to the extra width.
I tried to get the original batteries but they seem out of stock for the whole world, so I bought 3 of the VAPE/AIRSOFT batteries that are supplied with the current Redwolfs, cost was about £10- so roughly $13 each? (the UK price includes 20% tax though).
So got some heatshrink shrink sleeving and removed the Tamiya plugs, insulated both wires individually then shrunk the whole assembly to the wide side of the batteries (didn't fit in on the narrow side).
Works much better, the battery slides in very smoothly now and removes easily as well! (and no I didn't choose the heatshrink colour to match the gun, it was all I had that fitted).
I fired about a 1000 shots over the last week and the battery still didn't show low, so okay anyway, but a spare battery in the range bag from now on anyway.
