Daystate Domination at EBR?!!!

I use Dominate only in that the Bantam was the winning gun, it therefore, dominated the other guns in this instance.

If you go by numbers, 5 of the top 10 were still FX with 4 Daystates and the Bantam. Scores were incredibly tight with only a few points between first and fifth place. Incredible competition. However one wishes to use the word Dominate, so be it! it's all in one's opinion.

OK, gotcha. I'd even say the title of the OP is pretty much incorrect. Daystate didn't really dominate at EBR, as pointed out above by @saltlake58, with 5 FX in the top 10. But it wasn't one sided like it has been in the past, and that's great for the consumer, as both companies will keep trying to "one up" the other now...

Where were the RAW's this year? Inquiring minds want to know...

I think I'll shoot a Cricket .25 next year just so I'm not in either camp. ;) Since this year was Daystate (Brocock) and FX, in .22 and .30. Something not either in .25 would be good.

Agree on the nice spread of guns though, Daystate did make a statement with 4 of the top 10, where it's been Impact, Raw, and a couple others that were most common. Nice to see the Brits come on strong.

More competition means better guns in the long run, so seeing Daystate show up means, pressure is on to innovate and move forward - Isn't capitalism great?

It sure is! Can't wait to see what new models may offer strong competition NEXT year.

Wouldn’t be surprised if brocock try to cash in on the win and make a Claudio version of the rifle as it’s not an off the shelf product that won EBR. But again Claudio knows his stuff and put in the time to know what was needed to make the rifle balance well with pellet of choose and his shooting technique.

Im happy where airguns are going and this will only increase the different makers innovation. Look at RAW they too are now producing .22 HP rifles around the JSB redseign pellet as they did with the .25 JSB.

Kral made the list why no one jumping on that one ...

Mechanical parts wear out and affect consistency on a continuous basis, solid state does not. Plus, electronics provides much better air management and therefore consistent accuracy.

Solid state electronics can certainly wear. They can suffer from wire bond heel cracking (mechanical wear due to thermal stressing), single event burnout due to cosmic radiation, spirito effect when operated outside of the safe operating area and damage from electrostatic discharge which leads to a slow and painful death of the solid state device 😜. However, these symptoms can be almost prevented up to the point that they will practically never happen by a proper design and good calculations.

On the other hand, I do believe that when electronics based airguns will be developed in another way that they will outperform mechanical airguns in terms of consistency (even though the mechanical systems can already be really really consistent), the actual accuracy is then up to the barrel and the person operating the switch (or trigger). The timing can be super precise and consistent when using proper electronics and the components at the right place. And at the right place I don't mean changing a hammer and spring for a solenoid like what's currently used...

And yes, I do know the solution but just don't have the time yet to make it 😔 Or it's up for sale for the best bid 😝
