Redesigned JSB .22 cal 25.4 grain Exact Jumbo Monster

The 25g shoot 920 and the 33g do 830 out of my Air Ranger with the edge to the 25g in the accuracy dept. The only BC info I found was out of the same gun and it was stated as .047 for the 25g and an amazing .132 for the 33g. The 33g shoot great for me out to 50y but start to spiral at 100y. Think I just need to push them faster. The 25g definitely ride in the tin better I had to reshape a lot of the 33g. BC will be different in different guns due to barrel design so keep that in mind.

I've bought a tin,EVERY SINGLE PELLET SKIRT was damaged, they're extremely thin. I had to press the skirts into a FTT 5.55 head to fix them and they shoot great now,I'm using a maximus .22 tuned I get 20 shots with 18.13 with 23.78ft lb average around 760ish fps and ES 22,with the monsters I can get 29 shots and average 670ish fps 25.5 ft lbs and ES of 31, so a drop of about 100 FPS. They shoot just as good as the 18.13 and hit harder on target,I've tested BC using Pro chrono at 25 yds and it varies from 0.038 to 0.046 the heavies18.13 usually ave 0.035 for me.Hope it helps,BTW matt dubber(AirArmsHuntingSouthAfrica) has a video about them on his you tube channel, its the video on the FX crown at IWA

The redesigned Monsters are much more accurate than the old pellets in my Daystate Mk4iS. I recently tested 10 shot groups against the 15.89 Jumbo and 18.1 gr. Heavies in 10-15 mph winds at 30 FPE and didn't notice an obvious difference in group sizes. I would have expected the Monsters to shine if they were better. I shot 4 groups with each pellet. Two of the Monster groups were among the best, and 2 were among the worst. You mileage with your gun will probably vary, but they are definitely more accurate than the old version in my gun. The old ones were WILDLY inaccurate.

Stumbled onto a beautiful thing with my Redwolf .22 HP this weekend and using the redesigned JSBs. I shoot the JSB 18.1 at 870fps on low power setting, if I switched to the 25.4gr and turn the power to mid level I get 860fps and the exact same POI from 70-100 yards. For me this is awesome because I do most of my pesting at 100 yards. I will be switching over to the 25.4s exclusively soon but I have thousands of 18.1s and having to not adjust the scope when using both is a definite plus for me. I will get some groups posted soon but from what I have seen the redesigned out of my Redwolf is an awesome match. High power takes the pellets to 948fps. I doubt I need that fps with this pellet but nice to know I got the extra boost if required later on.

At the higher speed of 950 they were shooting 2.5 MOA higher than on mid power. I will have to calculate the BC. I'm not a numbers guy as much as I am a results guy. They shot accurately out to 100 yards and buffed the wind as expected better than the 18.1s. With this pellet shooting as fast as my 25gr 25cal FX Compact shooting at 870fps I would expect better penetration with the smaller surface area of the face. So for me I don't need the higher power if I can achieve as good or better results then what the compact is giving me currently. No mag issues and they feed perfectly. My 100 yard test spot is a tree top the size of a golf ball. If the wind is not swirling I can put all shots into that size of target. I don't shoot much closer than 80 yards due to the awesome plinking range my buddy has in his backyard.

So i did some more testing with these pellets on Sat 7/14 and these will be my go to pellet for the RedWolf HP from now on. I'm getting a consistent 975 FPS on Hi power setting and able to hit a pellet tin at 130 yards when the wind stops howling. I didn't have a lot of these pellets to try a shot count but did do some pesting on starlings and shot 5 mags without going below 190bar with a 250 bar fill. Using the strelok pro app I was able to connect with 3 birds at 128-130 yards. The wind is always the wildcard variable but in the right conditions my scope (8-34 FFP Argos) will allow me to reach 200 yards with strelok app. Scope sighted in for 100 yards. These pellets hit like a hammer at this speed and I cant wait to see how they perform on Woodchucks around 100 yards.

I got the elevation handled to effectively work around 130-140 now. The next hurdle is getting the damn wind under control. Where I hunt is never calm and my 2-3 inch misses to the right or left are frustrating me to no end. If it stayed constant I could handle it but it is either surging or changing direction all together. On calm days I really enjoy stretching the legs on the Wolf and Compact.
