Red Wolf spare Battery

Yeah so I don't own a RW but from pictures it looks like a standard balance plug to me. Being a 2s lipo is nothing special, hobbyking will have dozens of options. Just pick one which is 2s and will fit in the battery compartment. It's nothing special and certainly not worth 50$. 



If you want help with a more specific recommendation I would be happy to provide one, but some close up pictures of the plug and battery box dimensions would be helpful.

There was a thread on this not to far back. Someone found a replacement on Amazon that matched for a lot less. Check the search and you will most likely find it. 

All the ones that come from RC stores have the separate charging leads/plug. They charge just fine via the three pin on the red wolf charger though.

I bought a 1300mah one for the equivalent of about $20, cut off the other leads and it works like a charm.

Only issue I see with extra lipo batteries is that storing them fully charged is supposed to adversely affect their life so I've ended up storing it half charged for now since the battery lasts so long in the wolf, at my rate of use at least. 

I suppose considering discharge is so slow you could find the same issue in using a lipo battery in the red wolf at all, as it's barely used more than long term storage most of the time in the gun anyway.

I got a new battery for my MCT from "batteries Plus". They can make a battery to fit your need.
