Yeah it was “stuck” on 929 for six shots. Crazy consistent 20 ft-lb tune!

    Did you regulate the gun?

It’s a .177 with no regulator. Shooting 10.3 gr Daystate pellets without any sorting or inspection. If the pellets had been sorted by weight, we may have seen an even higher count of duplicate speeds.

Tom, I think what I’m asking is how did you get the small ES, and what is your ES over an entire 60 shot match?  That’s why I asked about a bottle reg like John Bagakis uses on his Red Wolf. Do you use the stock GCU or have you installed a HeliBoard?  Thanks.

And just to show it wasn’t a fluke, here is a repeat this morning. Again with Daystate 10.3 gr pellets right out of the tin with no sorting or inspection.

We’ll be working today on longer shot strings. Yesterday we were so excited we just kept trying different pellets and laughing between ourselves at the consistency AND accuracy.

The rifle is two years old with a stock board and probably close to 44,000 pellets through it. This is the same rifle that shot the highest overall rifle score at the Crosman All American Field Target competition in 2018.

Awesome. Thanks…  I was just curious since I have a .22 Red Wolf HP, and the best 60 shot string ES I could get was about 12 FPS. Even after extensive tuning with many hundreds of pellets. Yes, some 10 and 15 shot strings with low ES of 3 or 4 FPS, but the overall full string ES was always over 10 FPS.

Here is a 60 shot string I just finished. I used the middle power setting which is just a little more stable for ES. Not much, but a little. One pellet shot at 894 or the ES would have been 6, but that one shot bumped the ES up to 7.

I’ll be trying some more 60 shot strings using the 20 ft-lb high setting.
