Red dot logic vs Iron sight logic

I have read good advice from many sources that say concentrate on a front sight post that is in focus and don't worry about the target being fuzzy. Of course small peep apertures help make the target less fuzzy. But for Red Dots I wear glasses that make the target in perfect focus. Now all I have to do is put a 2 MOA red dot in the center. I have a expensive Sig Sauer red dot and only recently acquired glasses for distance. I can now hit targets just as well as my peep sight rifles if I concentrate on the target and red dot on POI. I have renewed interest in Red Dots with very small diameter light.

I also recently started using red dots on a couple of guns. I like them a lot. They will never replace a scope for target shooting but they work pretty well. You may want to look at a 2x power TruGlo. They say parallax is at 50 yards but I use one at 20 feet with no issues. Only about 50 to 60 bucks depending where purchased, weaver/picatiny mount so I use Leapers adapters for mounting. 2.8 MOA dot but if you keep the illumination down it appears a lot smaller.

Got my vortex amg huey 1 moa dot on with a 3x magnifier there's no parallax with red dots used to have it on a keltec ksg don't shoot it much but my impact gets shot at least twice a week still haven't brought a scope for it the red dot is perfect for back yard plinking and pest control 40 yards is the extent of my back yard range
