What do people do with the lead in their pellet traps?
Mine has a couple thousand pellets in it now. I built my own trap using an old wood wine case, 2x4 scrape to hold a 3/8" plate in place as a back stop, and mastic to catch the pellets. Back stop is essential since with even a moderately powerful and accurate rifle, hole in one accuracy drills through a wooden or thin metal backstop quickly (don't ask how I know). The mastic was great at 1st, but now its breaking up with all the pellets embedded in it. Others here have posted about traps using shredded rubber, which in retrospect seems like a better idea; at least the pellets should be easier to collect.
