Recommendation: Athlon Argos 6-24x50 FFP Scope Budget Friendly FFP Scope For HFT

I just wanted to make sure anyone currently looking for a great Budget Hunter Field Target Scope knows about the Athlon Argos 6-24x50 First Focal Plain Scope. I've had mine now for a year. I've used it as my entry to HFT on a Air Arms TX200 MKII .177 Springer. Every time I compete my score gets better and better. I added a custom Parallax Wheel (from Bill Rabitt) and a rubber eye cup extension to complete the package. I shoot JSB Exact 8.44 gr pellets. Today I see on Amazon this scope is listed for as low as under $379.00 to $314.00 with free shipping. I have no idea who else has discounted this scope but I bet many have or would. This scope sees practice almost every day without any signs of failing. The glass is good. The cross-hairs are good. What else does anyone need in an entry level FFP HFT scope? My only complaint is the illuminated reticle is not very bright which I hardly ever use. If you in the market I wouldn't pass this up too quickly. My next Compaction scope is going to be the Hawke Model 17410 FFP 4-16x50 Scope. Next year I'll do a review on that one too. I'm not selling my Athlon. I'm just moving to my TX200 .22 HC for backyard squires or windy day competitions. I only use Sports Match 2 piece non adjustable High Scope Rings. They have not moved at all in the last year when I installed them. Very trustworthy rings.

At that yardage (50-55 yds) and HFT only allows 16 power max. The detail at that distance is very limiting with any scope limited to 16 power. In fact I would say something around 40-45 yards is the best any 16 power scope can really give definite yardage. That being said It does as good of a job as more expensive scopes I feel. Hope I'm being clear here.

I know I'm asking a lot of questions but I was actually hoping someone shooting open class with a 34X Argos would chime in.

.

I haven't been there to shoot for several years and was shooting open class with a 32x Leapers so might not remember Hunter correctly, but I though my group had a 12x limit on Hunter and that we had a 3/8" hit zone target at 8 yards.
