Recommend me a range finder.

I picked up a Bushnell rangefinder from Natchez that was a refurbished for like 69$ . Work Perfectly and that'll leave you some pellet money

I use a Simmons LRF 600.

Nikon Acculon is pretty hard to beat at its price point. Make sure whatever you get can range real close too.

I have Aculon, have not yet gotten to measure my targets at long range, but it seems like a good piece of equipment.

Only thing I feel it is missing is lighted LCD.
But you have 8 seconds after measuring to give some light from your phone screen to see what it shows, incase you ever have to range-find in the dark.

I also understood it has some kind of "show the longest reading" setting, but if I keep the scan button at bottom, it just scans every .25 sec or so. And the manual was not very insightful.. Just the basic "Do not eat the batteries" stuff.

I recently bought a Halo XL450, works great, 450 range, angle compensation, 6x, scan mode. Accuracy seems very good and best of all it's less than $100. Using it in the woods I was able to pick specific tree trunks at 100yrds with no issue.
