Since moving onto my forty-acre place in 2012 it seems the local turkey population has been in decline, Checking my SD cards yesterday provided a couple poignant revelations.

    1) My suspicion that the likely culprits in declining turkey numbers are a thriving coyote population is confirmed by my first photo of three at once-

    2) The turkeys are starting to range far enough from the roost with the imminent mating/hunting season to reach my place, including at least one NICE gobbler. He's been here the last two days in-a-row.

I refrained from hunting turkeys last season because I got photos of only one gobbler and two hens all season. So this hombre might get a pass if more don't start showing up in the next couple weeks (before spring turkey season opens).

All you need to do is lace the turkey feed with hgh and not only will the turkey get big enough to defend themselves but you'll only need to harvest one a season for food.

HGH… is that like Viagara? Not sure I can spare any, John!

More like steriods. Though upon further review it should be TGH(turkey growth hormone).

Hunt the dogs first. Always good fun

Then nature should take its course
