The pic mount with the Impact looks super solid. If you had an Airwolf or Crown with an attached pic rail, would the UA pic mounted plate put too much stress on the stock's wooden fore end when attached to a tripod? Would a HOG saddle be a better choice even if you had a pic rail installed ?

I've used it in conjunction with my RW. The thin forestock does worry me. When I'm "on-target" with the RW my should takes off some of the load. When I'm "off-target" I lean it forward pointing the muzzle at the ground to reduce the stress/fatigue.
