I am thinking that this could make a very nice testing platform for new ammo styles and materials. Being a single shot breach loaded system one could try designing and manufacturing ammo dedicated to this system style. For example a round that is ever so slightly longer than what a mag would take.

Do you have to post here for the contest? I already have a Condor SS, but not in 22 caliber.
My 25 will out shoot Steve's groups with Talon Tunes quick change top hat. And, I get a long shot string with very respectable power.

I had an idea for Airforce. They should paint the safety red this way you can see if its on or not. Just the part that sticks out when you disengage it.

If you put a o ring behind the top hat then the gun is a tack driver . From a 2000 psi fill to 1000 you will get 45 consistent shots .... just make sure you use a rubber oring. I have the size that works best written in my garage if you need it. Expect a nice 850-870 velocity with hn 21s.....Also Slap A Trigger Shoe On For A better trigger feel.

Wish the power level could go lower than 40fpe and be closer to standard air rifle power. My current springer only spits out 10fpe, and i would like maybe 15-25fpe, but then have the freedom to turn it up.

Steve as always great review buddy, very professionally done! I own 2 Condors, one in 22cal and the other one is a .25cal, in my 11 years of experience with this rifles I can tell you that they are excellent guns but they need some work (TLC) to get them to shot to their full potencial and they are hold sensitive as well, I have regs in both of my guns and i found the jsb 18s @ 850 fps are very accurate and the jsb 25.4 @920 fps are very accurate as well.

btw are you going to review the FX Impact, Vulcan and the Mutant? I know you might have a lot on your plate right now but it would awesome if you get them in front of the cameras for some shooting test.

It was the Air Force line that got me re-interested in airguns. I liked the looks and the general concept, but the more I researched them the less I liked them.

Excellent review , I do not own a Condor but love my Texan. I think of Airforce like the ARs of airguns they are easy to work on and add things on to.

I had a condor SS in 25, it was quiet, but not as quiet as my 25 marauder. But it doubled it in FPE so I was happy. It was more accurate too. The SS Supressor is the best compromise of length and sound reduction. But Neil Clague makes a better LDC for quietness, although it will be a bit longer overall.
My Talon SS 22 is my most accurate gun, and a 257 Condor is my 2nd.
Negatives:
Poor ergonomics - shouldering it takes some getting used to, but if you can, who cares. There are some aftermarket pieces that help by dropping the height of the tank.
Lots of shots because it has a big tank. It can be efficient or not depending on the tune.
Single Shot
Takes some fiddling.
Tuning can be a pain - but some aftermarket pieces can provide some easier options.
The frame flexes. Aftermarket stocks help avoid that.
Pros:
Very powerful for the cost
Simple
Can be very accurate if you put in the time, or you get lucky and one shoots true with the factory tune, I have had both.
Basically it is a super flexible platform which can be very powerful, but needs a good investment in time and research. I have an arrow gun on this platform that shoots 375fps. I have a 100fpe bullet shooter. I have a 20 fpe super accurate truck gun. Looking back, I probably could have spent the same amount of money on a gun designed for any of those roles, but the way I did it, the frame scaled up and down to the role I wanted. The guns designed for those roles would probably be multi-shot and have better ergonomics, so it might be better to go that way. But I have no regrets.
