RAW REPORT

RAW SHOOTERs OF BM AND TM 177 can you all please chime on on your accuracy or lack of with the jsb 13.4 grain and what speeds is your gun slinging them? if you have pics of your groups with the above pellets please include..i would love to know your results of your shooting with theese pellets accuracy and speed wise you are getting said accuracy thanks guys

I'm not sure this helps, but my RAW HM1000x with .177 LW (Poly/non-choked) barrel likes JSB 10.34's better.

However, I've only shot the 10.34 & 13.4's in my 13 yard crawlspace. The 10.34's were going 950+ fps -> which likely needed to be dropped a bit.
I have since mounted a .20 choked, LW barrel which is more accurate. Will try the .177 again, but not for awhile.

13.4 gr JSBs shoot best just under 20 fpe at 800-805 fps in my poly barrel.

Have owned a Non standard TM-1000 now for what i think is 7+ years and counting. When originally ordered from Martin the supplied .177 barrel was a 12g choked standard at 19" length. It shot just ok and barrel was replaced with another 12g choked that I prepped & machined myself. It shot a lot better but still never really impressed me as thinking it was a one in a life time wizzer barrel
It shot 13.43 JSB's very well in FT matches, tho the wind drift always bit me when thinking it should not have  So ... in search of something better started shooting another PCP in .20 cal with much better overall success, which led to sourcing a few HW .20 cal barrel blanks out of the UK via Silko Sports that got fitted to the TM-1000, rifle re-tuned for >20 fpe output and HAVE NEVER LOOKED BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #2 try in .20 and it is a wizzer barrel set up and shoots simply phenomenal with JSB 13.73's @ 800 fps.

Pics when new to now .. MANY changes, modifications etc in these 7+ years. This one dies with me !!!

When shooting .177 13.43's ..... tune rifle to have a lower valve dwell and if using an LDC / shroud ? .... keep clearances larger to minimize air turblance at muzzle.

what ranges have you shot the 177 with said pellets and the same for the 20 at what ranges as well? did you also try different lot numbers for the 177

i use no shroud. i have both lw and poly martin sent me....... its intersting you have hw barrels installedon your tm. so ur saying ur hw barrel in 177 is more accurate than the 12grove martin installed on your rifle when new? have you tryied the poly barrel martin offeres on his rifles with the 13.4, 177? i have both 12grove and poly 6 grove martin sent me with my rifle...... i would like to know your results with 12 grove as from i can gather seems you didnt try the 6 grove poly?

RAW supplied the ORIGINAL .177 LW barrel. I ordered my own BLANK from LW next & did the machining. The SECOND barrel shot better than the first.
Next I started shooting .20 cal in another brand rifle, impressed, did research finding at the time HW blanks could be purchased out of the UK. So went that route purchasing a HW blank in lieu of a LW blank. The HW blanks after a few years and law changes in the UK on export of some gun parts etc .. the ability to get HW blanks from overseas ceased. Sense those years have tried MANY LW blanks in .20 finding nothing close to what my original HW blanks exhibits for accuracy / consistency. All said over a couple year period purchased IIRC 5-7 HW blanks in .20 only having the 1 for myself to this day. All the others went onto customer guns and shoot equally well for them by reports of LOVING them.

Hey aa,
Bought a few additional Poly barrel blanks and one .20 cal. Non-Poly (choked) blank from LW in Georgia.

- Machined all to fit my RAW's.

Found the .177 Poly (non-choked) barrel shot JSB 10.34's better than 14.3's in my crawlspace range (13 yd). I then switched gears and decided to shoot .177 Zan slugs out to 50 yards at a local range -> w/o trying the JSB pellets further. The slugs didn't shoot really well ... so I temporarily gave up on the .177 cal. and mounted my .20 LW non-poly (choked) barrel. It immediately showed excellent command in my 13 yd range so I took them out to 50 yards.
1 MOA or 1/2" is relatively easy at 50 yds. if there is no wind. Because the .20 shot so well. I haven't gone back to the .177 yet.
This all happened this Summer.... Also, did not try various lots of JSB 10.34's and 14.3's either.

So far the .20 cal. hasn't shown great results at 100 yards, while my .22/.25 cal. poly non-choked barrel can do 1 MOA at 100 yards.
I want to tweak the .20 cal. more as my .20 HW80S Springer shoots very well out to 80 yards (maybe 1.25/1.5") w/no wind.

I strictly shoot FT with the .20 .... it excels beyond any thing .177 used at similar distances.

Yeah, Scott love the .20 as I have (3) Weihrauch Springers in that caliber which shoot extremely well.

Now, just trying to tweak my .20 cal. RAW to shoot 1 MOA at 100 yards - any advice?

I know the wind affects the .20 more than heavier pellets, but I think it's something else holding me back - just haven't figured it out yet.
Unfortunately, the weakest link in the equation is ME .................. o_O

I had 4, 2 -TM’s and 2 -BM’s, my first BM shot the best and now my good friend has it and he’s not giving back to me no matter what price! My BM shoots very well I use it in 25m matches. The BM’s have the Thimble TM’s do not and my first TM did not have a poly barrel but it shot a close second to the BM. (Actually I think all have the Thimble now)

Shooting the 15.9 for sure if going for distance.
In FT at >20 fpe the 13.7 is king & limited to only @ 800 fps to stay legal.

intersting stuff.... as for my poly barrel at 25 meters my gun is produceing groups of 1mm ctc (10 shots in a groups) out doors this is with jsb13.4 i could not as for any better and with the 12g with same above pellets, but out of my 12 g at same range and same pellets im getting 4 mm ish groups with then shots to a group. my gun spits out the 13,4s at 750fps with match grade accuracy and at 50 yards the for 3 shots almmost always go in the same exact hole. with no enlargemant and the other 2 shots are usally 9 to 10 mm away from the first 3.... again overall group size around 10 mm ish
