RAW REPORT

Thank you JPS, I can not find an answer in my country. I bought slugs Nielsen 65 grains 7.62mm (35 euros 100 slugs) for my RAW; I am very disappointed, it takes a lot of pressure to introduce the slugs in the barrel with the finger or the lever.
I informed KRALE the seller of slugs of the problem, he forbade me the slugs in the RAW canon.

I found that Ratsniper slugs are slightly smaller in diameter than Nielsen and chamber easier, if that helps. Unless you are hunting or shooting at very long ranges, I see no purpose for slugs.

Peeps, I bought some slugs from Griffin Slugs on ebay. The slugs are very well made. I usually shoot NSA or VKnockers. I have wanted to try a lighter slug in my RAW .25 LRT. I was not disappointed. The 30 gr slugs shoot very well but, they are a hair to long for the mag. By a hair I mean a couple 30 gr slugs caused the mag to not cycle. I single loaded them and they are fantastic. The 28gr slugs function flawlessly in the mag and shoot as well. I got all giddy shooting the 25gr slugs. I am at an undisclosed location and could not chrono the slugs. I will say that at 50yrds the 25gr slugs shoot about 1" higher than 34gr slugs.

I have more slugs on the way, 29grs. I will shoot the 25, 28, 29s and 30s, then buy a herd of the ones that I like best for hunting. Love this RAW LRT.

I finally got a tin of H&N Grizzly slugs to try in my RAW to see if they worked as some have described in their rifles.

RAW HM1000X LRT 60FP .25 bought new in June of this year.

NO JOY for me with the Grizzly slugs my friends.

They grouped, the term group used loosely, at 1.25 to 1.5 inch at 50 yards, while the JSB heavy MK II pellets made their usual ragged hole.

No worries, I got them on a lark just to see how they did, and now I know..

December 13th i emailed Airforce Airguns asking for help getting parts needed for my raw. still no response or help. how's that for customer service. NOT!!

Rachel,

can you send me a parts diagram / parts list for my RAW HM1000x LRT serial# HM18xx? i need parts that do not show up on the web site. the valve stem, nylon valve stem plug & brass valve seat.

thank you,

hey guys looks like this thread has really slowed down in the past year. looks like rapid air weapons sales has really slowed down since the the take over a little over a year or so ago?

just wondering what your thoughts are on the matter and hows the customer service now since the take over as well?

I haven't been on here in a long time guys. im a raw owner as well. and would like to know every ones experiences as of late

To me customer service went to 💩 compared to what it use to be. I recently found out Martin now is tuneing and making custom guns under the name Airguns-USA. If you want to have a specific rifle made by Martin you have to contact him through that website which is what RAW use to be in my opinion. Now I have no idea what company name will be on the receiver if you go through Martin now at Airguns-USA?!

Of the six RAW rifles I've owned (all pre-Air Force) at one time or another, I've never had a warranty issue because of parts quality or design issues, like another popular make today. A couple of O ring leaks is about all. RAW's designs are simple, durable, and robust. They have served me well in competition and are as accurate as anything else out there, including the $4000 rifles. I can't speak for the current ownership except that when I needed parts, they were prompt and helpful.

The new Chassis System gun is a departure from those in their more traditional line. It’s possible that it might be BAD ASS enough to appeal to the target demographic (from which I am thankfully excluded). Uj

Let’s hope but I don’t think it’s BAD ASS enough, chip smith, Ernie swift, nutshot, phild and a few others I can think of have been doing those type of stocks on Theoben Rapids (same as RAW) for years, Twin bottles, tactical folding stocks, bullpups .30 and 9mm calibres have all been done before (and to be honest they looked better too)

IMO They need to come up with something new not a mash up of what’s been done before.

An example, I made this years before bullpups every became popular, If a bloke in his shed can make this in just a few hours with basic tools and almost no expense then imagine what a airgun manufacturer should be able to do with all the resources available to them!

Well I want to say this first I like my 2016 raw alot I think that for what i received it was worth the money I paid for it.

But the the air gun enthusiast market has changed and the RAW of old was a good ol days nitch company.( my opinion) . That was starting to struggle to remain relevant in the Market. So hence came the Airforce thing. I am a bit of a ....pessimist and did not feel the partner ship was that great of an idea. But that was my own emotional reaction.

I am not a business person nor a owner of a air gun company and I respect the decisions made by those parties involved. Not every business owner can make a the plunge into this current air gun thing with a pile of cash and creative innovation AND you have to want to do that . If you don't you just do what you want to do and to heck with every ones opinion.

Yep including mine

Have a good day everyone

Thanks - Brian

RAW sales have increased with the addition of new dealers in 2019. We just had a very successful SHOT Show and will be adding more dealers to the list in 2020. We will also, for the first time ever, be attending IWA in Germany as an exhibitor.

If you have questions about our customer service, feel free to call anytime and Rachel or Leah will be more then happy to answer your questions. If they don't know the answer off-hand then they will get in touch with Martin and get back to you. We understand that this may not be ideal for all and that some of you are used to having Martin at your beck and call, but RAW has grown immensely since the partnership with A.F. that occurred 2 years ago and allowing Martin to be in the shop un-inhibited by answering the phone constantly has directly influenced the new products coming to the RAW lineup. Namely the HM Micro prototype we just launched at SHOT show as well as the RAW air rifle chassis system. Martin is still hand assembling and testing every rifle, and this will continue to be the case as RAW moves forward.

We appreciate the continued support of the RAW community, we monitor this thread continually and are grateful for your dedication to Rapid Air Weapons.
