    Hi SMH77, is that bolt for reinforcement added by you?

    No, it came to me that way from Martin.

    Sell mine came that way also, so he has added them to the newer stocks.

    Pat- Great to have you back. Prayers for your healing.

    terrymc, Dang man. I didn't know you could do that. What a beautiful job on that stock. Very nicely done.

    TIME FOR SOME MORE SAWDUST!

    So I bought the BM stock knowing that I did not like the trigger guard area or the squared off bottom to the back half of the forearm.

    So I ordered it without the finish on it.

    Today I got bored again so it was time to do some shaping work on the rear half of the forearm.

    Before doing any work you can see the blockish line, I made some measurements on other stocks I have and marked up the changes in lines.

    Here is the other side with reshaping the contour above the trigger. You can still see the very block bottom of the trigger guard.

    Lots of sanding later I have the trigger guard and the bottom half of the stock rounded to match other RAW's lines.

    Notice I even took the rounding into the front half just to create a blend without impacting the area that rests in the front rest.

    And for those concerned there was no material removed anywhere around the wrist. So that even though it is now internally braced it has all the external material as well.

    Nice!  Are you planning to polish to a high sheen?  Should come out great.

    Hi Kim,

    I am probably going to do a low gloss or satin.

    I still have a little shaping to do, then it will be down to smoothing and finishing.

     Probably lots of coats still.

    1= point of aim
    2 = point of impact
    114 yards distance
    18 grain jsb
    950 fps
    Same hole  7 pellets

    It's done in no wind conditions . Still the accuracy is amazing for me at that long distance and high fps.

    This is HM1000X  .25 converted into .22.

    Here are also some close up pics.

    100 yards was a bit more challenging this morning with a litte bit of lateral wind that came and went.  Here’s one of the better groups:

    That is some good shooting for 100 yards in wind. I can see the wind was mostly from  right and a little from left with the info in picture. Very good shooting in real word conditions sir! MM

    In case anyone has found using the app 'SubMOA' confusing (it's NOT user friendly) to measure groups, here's a writeup I posted on how to use the app:

    regulators and pressure warning.?

    guys if you take  the air bottle completely off the gun will there still be pressure in the gun?

    do the botton blanking screw need to be air bleeded out even after there is no bottle attached to the gun?

    I need to take out the regulator to adjust but need to know what this entail pressure wise…

    im sure someone here knows about this and they could help.. thanks guys

    Yes, there will still be pressure.  I would suggest dry firing-but only ONCE as additional times will not have pressure to slow down valve mechanism and could do damage.  If you want to be really safe, then contact Martin directly and ask hos advice:

    Hey guys I need some advise. I just got a used HMX .25 This is an older one I think, the serial number is under 500.  I adjusted the HST all the way in and am getting 840ish with 25.4 gn ammo. I want at least that with the 34 gn. adjust the reg, new reg? shim the hammer spring? on that thought there was only a turn and a quarter left when I maxed it out getting me another 30fps, So the shim don't seem viable. Also getting some blow back. I removed the barrel to see if an Oring was damaged or missing and don't see where one would go. I read where you can loosen that teeny tiny grub screw on the probe and adjust it inward. The pics with that showed there were thread on the adjusted tip. Also can someone get me the contact info for a RAW tuner in Arizona? I prefer to not ship this any further than I need to.

    Thanks in advance

    Dennis
