Ok, HM1000x owners!,pulled a dumb move today stripped the head of one of the tiny set screws in pellet probe, now what to do? I know,I know! I’ve done this before on another RAW never had this problem? 
never seen them this tight...

You can probably use something like this to get it out hit it with a heat gun first

I’m not sure if this set has one small enough check size before you get it.

If you have a grinder you could take the next size larger allen wrench and grind the end down to a good fit before trying again. I have also gound a drill bit backwards and ran the drill in reverse to remove screws. That's about all i got.

I was hoping not to remove the whole probe assembly, but believe that’s what I will have to do as to not do further damage?

It's better to remove the probe out of the gun and then work on it.
It will be easier to work and also you won't put any scratch on the gun.

Follow-up,was able to grind a very sharp edge on spade bit point, used a solder gun to heat heat “tiny” set screw then could grab hold of inner portion of socket, came right out! Now second question,is threaded portion of probe have loc-tite on threads? I want to adjust probe to put a little more tension on barrel to probe seat? Getting a little blow by that I didn’t notice until using single shot tray? ( also want to add its shooting the 44.7gr. Jsb’s @ 870-880fps so don’t think I’m stressing this gun at all?)

Thought i would share a VERY NICE retrofit that I've never read about and works great !
Long story short ... Air gun show a few months ago found this small .2L ( 200cc ) bottle that when asking about it, came off a BSA R10.
Figured for the $10 seller wanted i could find a use for it eventually. So happened that when doing some in depth R&R with the 400cc bottle on my TM-1000 ( Bottle version like an HM ) well son of a gun if it did not SCREW RIGHT ON and sealed up & opened the check valve too !!
So here it sits on my .20 cal TM-1000 and it provides plenty of air for a full round of Field target. In use it actually provides @ 90 shots at > 20 ft lbs. ( modified gun mind you )
Real PLUS was the clearance it opened up allowing a FULL LENGTH shroud of which in now fitted. 1 1/4" O.D. BTW making the gun stupid quiet. While the clearance between bottle / shroud is tight, both are so stiff and flex free they don't come together even holding the rifle by the bottle shooting. COOL
Less weight out front has aided off hand steadiness too. A True win win and great mod for those application where you don't need a big heavy tank & big volume.
Nice, for a higher shot count you can also fit a theoben 280cc and Catalina 360cc 50mm Dia bottle and sill have a 30mm shroud , if you fancy going super compact then a 100cc divers bottle will also fit.

The original tank was 180 CC. Doesn't seem like the 200 CC bottle would make a big difference. I had Martin install a 240 CC titanium tank on mine. BTW, my original TM had the full length carbon fiber shroud on it. No problem with clearance there.

Follow up on my earlier post regarding resetting my headspace on the HM1000x .30, so that’s exactly what I did increased probe length by .005 thou. To get better seal on probe to barrel seat ( to eliminate blow-by! ) which did correct problem!, BUT...!,Because of the effort to break the loctite bond on adjustment threads should have been a clue that there’s no way it should have moved from original factory setting! Unless the barrel moved in receiver etc. that wasn’t the issue? So what was it? Well I’m ashamed to say it was the cocking handle tension screw positioned on top of action almost backed all the way out therefore allowing this little bit off play or slop to alter headspace that .005 measurement! Moral of story be virulent in checking this and the little set screw that keeps the larger scew from backing out, before making any headspace adjustments... (just noticed this today while shooting before work)

I installed today the valve developed by Bucketboy for my RAW HM1000X .25 that is 60 ftlb.
After installing his valve and some adjustments in HST, the shot count of my RAW jumped from about 32 shots to 50 regulated shots at same 60 ftlb.
I intend to develop and install SSG for RAW and hope to get even more shots.
Here are pics of original and after market valve.

I already did the RAW SSG development 2+ years ago.
was shared on the Rapid 7 site & GTA back when done.
YUP, so long as you have enough spring energy to throw the hammer HARD you can get away with free flight & the SSG.

I don’t think he can, there was a system crash last year on the R7OC, all posts between 2011-2018 were lost.
