"Imold"Ok downloaded Chairgun on my phone and also going to check out the Distance Finder app.
I'd highly recommend getting a rangefinder. Here's what I use (it works great and is affordable): https://www.amazon.com/Simmons-801600-Laser-Rangefinder-Black/dp/B00SX7JPMG

Today's the day I call Sandra to get my final invoice and make payment arrangements. She's supposed to ship this week!
I have a Leupold Range finder that goes out to 1000 yards I got for LRT shooting and I also have a Archers Choice which is Nikon that I use. That Chairgun is pretty interesting I've been playing around with it and have come up with some interesting numbers with the 81.01 diabolo..

Oh, OK; you're way ahead of me! I can see where having a scope-based range-finder would be useful. I used to use this baby; it has a built-in range-finder. (It was more expensive than my Impact!) But I had to sell it when I moved to Commiefornia because such devices are illegal here. Man, there are HERDS of rabbits just sittin' out in the open at night! I was the Invisible Man:

Here's this beast on my Impact. Man I wish I could use this thing on my new RAW!:

To say I was disappointed when I talked to Sandra this morning is an understatement. She had promised that my Euro Rail would be installed by now and my RAW would ship this week. No Joy. She said that I would have to wait until the current batch of stocks are machined before the mill can be retooled to cut the rail channel. Lord knows when that would be. I just cancelled the Euro Rail order on the spot. I don't use a bi-pod or any accessories that requires an accessory rail anyway. I use a Trigger Stick tripod with a two-point rifle rest attachment.

She said my rifle will ship on Thursday, maybe Wednesday now . We'll see. I have zero confidence in anything she says at this point. I still have complete confidence in the awesomeness of the rifle herself though. But then again, Martin handles that bit.

"Imold"This unit got my attention last night, looks like a interesting night and day scope. Should of been the AGD site not optics oops.

I really wouldn't waste my money on that. You won't be happy. When it comes to NV, go big or go home. I had limited success with this model, but still had to spring for a night spotter with an integral range-finder:

I finally wised-up and went with this complete package; integral range-finder and WAY better optics!:

Night hunting is almost too easy. The animals don't even know you're there; they suffer from a false sense of security. I used to disavail them of that notion REAL quick! Make sure that such IR NV equipment is legal in your state first though before you spring. When I moved to California, I had to get rid of all my NV gear.

About 15 years ago I bought a pair of gen 2 or 3 night vision binoculars for around 750.00 they were on sale for something like 60% off, were something like 1900.00,I used them for a year or so but lost interest and sold them now I have a pair of Busnell. I think those ATN ones might be ok for coyotes and if their a bust I can always send them back under customer satisfaction or something like that.

I used to use the Gens when I was a gunner's mate in the Navy. But, these days digital is the way to go, IMO. There are no amplifiers to fry, and you can use them during the day as well.

Ha, that's the way I look at it. If you don't like it, just return it, right? And I rationalize my practice of buying a gun, shooting it for a few months, and then selling it, by thinking of it as having rented it for that time. Pretty good deal actually. I've been getting 70% resale value :).

Well, it's a done deal! I just paid the final invoice on my RAW! ($2,370 all in; $70 shipping from Minor Hill, TN to Imperial Beach, CA.) Sandra said she's shipping Wed. or Thur. UPS Ground. I'll believe it when I get a tracking number. I dropped the Euro Rail. I think that's best for me anyway. I can't envision a scenario where I would even use it. Might as well keep the forestock as smooth as I can for my Trigger Stick tripod and two-point rifle rest adapter.

I want to post the invoice with my proprietary info redacted, but the AGN image hosting does not recognize the file type even though it's saved as a .jpeg. Go figure.

As long as you get 30% of use out of it why not you can always put the scope on the next airgun.

Exactly

"Imold"Couldn't get the reticle to Light up on the UTG ez tap scope so I took a knife and cleaned the contacts and they work like a charm now, waiting for the mail to get here,my Bipod should be here today.
Little hint from a former industrial electrician; use a pencil eraser next time ;-). Works like a charm and you won't score the contacts or shock yourself. (I often had to work on hot circuits so the machines could continue working.)

Don't you just love waiting for that knock on the door? I know you probably told me already, but what bipod are you getting?

"Imold"The Pulsar is neat.......

Its hailing at my place a good size storm just popped up out of nowhere.........can't even see across the lake...
Yeah, God I wish I could have kept that thing. Night hunting is fantastic. I'm finding hunting rabbits with a rifle during the day to be very challenging. At night, it's the easiest game I've ever hunted.

It's ironic. I moved to SoCal for the weather, now I PRAY for a change. ANYTHING, rain, fog, hail, ANYTHING! It's the same day every day: Mid-70s, mostly sunny, high pressure, yada, yada, yada...

Thanks for the eraser tip and the Bipod is a Atlas knock off for less then half the cost, will see how nice it is in a bit, this weather probably slowed the mail down some,we have another real bad system coming through that's red, dark red, yellow, dark yellow and looks to be about 80 miles long according to my map, could get ugly...

I really should look for deals in the secondary market instead of buying new all the time. It's just that warranty claims just give me such a warm fuzzy feeling inside :).

I actually miss the weather as a kid in Pennsylvania. In the summer, we used to sit on lawn chairs on the porch and watch the rain come down in buckets and the lightening make the trees explode! Oh well, there's some interesting things down here to watch from a beach chair down at the shore!
