RAW REPORT

I’ve never sent a Airgun to a tuner, I feel that the manufacturer should be sending out the best product possible and if not I just send it back if need be but so far every Airgun I’ve have bought has shot just fine out of the box. Some people just like to push the limits and have a tuner get the most out of a Airgun so when they get it it is all it can be which is ok in my book it’s their money not mine. As we all know manufactures leave a little wiggle room so they can sell all those extra parts to the airgunners who want to push the limits and to those tuners who go the extra mile..KUDOS to them glad they take the time to do it.

"aa_limited"I believe every one has a right do do what they like when it comes to tinkering with their gun. its their money and their time. that's what this sport is all about and being happy doing it.
that says it all being happy ,,ive got my 3rd RAW being built for me and theres something said for knowing how to finely tune and build harmony with all parts working together,,tuners have been able to make good rifles great theres mods out there such as regs that add to shot count and consistantcy good tuners are hard to find ,when u get one keep em

I'll thrown in my $0.02 worth: when I buy my RAW's (direct from Martin), I am indeed buying them from a tuner. Martin's guns are custom and I haven't had any reason to believe they are anything but built and optimized as a custom tuned gun. Even better than a tuned gun: you can order whatever options you wish the 'tuner' to include from the start, and have it covered under the 'factory' warranty. Doesn't get any better than that, in my opinion.

My only 'tweak' that I wanted to see on my gun was an adjustable trigger blade to tweak my finger reach and position to the blade. Rowan came through on that one, so I added that to my gun. Yep, I wanted an Anschutz trigger (still the best out there)-but I found a way to tune my own trigger settings close enough to make it crisp enough to forget about wanting an Anschutz trigger-so the RAW unit is indeed very, very good when its all said and done.

I'm all for trying different barrels but, in the end, you'll likely settle in on one that shoots the best and shoot the ammo that performs the best-letting the other options sit beside 'watching from the sidelines'. I did that too-and in the end, Martin's recommendation has proved to be the most accurate option for my gun (speaking of .25 cal). Having said that, new barrels DO come along and sometimes they even improve accuracy an incremental step more-so there's no harm in trying them out (unless your wife finds out how much you spent experimenting....).

Yer right on Sean but i really. Think RAWis the exception. To this being custom built not a assembly line rifle ive never sent a rifle to a tuner but talk to a excellent one. Not being able to talk with MARTIN ANYMORE is a bummer but having KEN and MARK B to talk with is a blessing theese guys know there stuff.the i own 2FX AND 2 RAW the only adjustments i made was to get a heavier trigger for my RAW 30 CAN SOMEONE MAKE MY GREAT RIFLES BETTER PROBABLY. BUT I JUST DONT FEEL AT THIS POINT IM MISSING OUT. PAT

Pics please Craig, Need to see what it looks like mounted on your rifle. I thought about getting a side shot for hunting but don’t think I would use it enough to justify the purchase.
I like the one that mounts the camera right in front of the scope but again just can’t seem to justify it when I shoot mostly steel, if I did a lot of paper punching I might enjoy it better. Still out to lunch on getting one or the other.

So im kinda blown away by this,,,,pleasantly surprised! So initially my TM1000 with 480cc bottle came set up shooting 10.3grn pellets at 19.83 ft lbs which is a avg of 931fps and i was getting 125 shots filled at 200 bar and falling off the reg about 100 bar. At that speed quite a few pellets were destabilizing so today i turned the hammer spring down a little bit. I filled back to 200 bar and averaged 900fps with the 10.3grn pellets. Now the kicker,,,,,I got 200 shots at this setting with a extreme spread of 25 feet and shot deviance of 4 fps. At this setting it should take care of the destabalized pellets and i got 75 more shots per fill as a added bonus. This really blows my mind in a very surprising way!

This is my BM-500 @ 33yds shooting 13.4’s @ 810fps not played much w/ 10.3’s that gun but my Tm loves em!

Thanks, wasn’t a comp. just trying different head size & skirt shape & FPS, don’t know if you been paying much attention to the Jsb die differences for the 13.4’s but the INNER skirts have been SIGNIFICANTLY CHANGED! This seems to make a big difference in my POLY barrels?(this batch came from AoA, hence the marking on the target!)
