Fun morning shooting with 3 of the 4 kids. They are great shots! We had a contest going for consecutive hits on the 75 yard spinner: my two girls and I hit it 8 times, while my son hit it 7 times. The wind was all over the place, so it made it fun. Only downside: hearing them bicker about who’s the better shot (we all know it’s me!).

Trigger worked out really well. It definitely felt different. Once the gun cooled off to ambient temp (40F), the second stage Wall was a bit unreliable (it would pull straight from first stage to releasing, without a stop). I ended up pulling the action out and tweaking athe adjustment some (turned the B screw out 1/8 turn)-that did the trick nicely. From there, My kids and I shot it and it worked great.

They had a blast and I treated them to Shamrock Shakes just now (that’s what they wanted for how well they shot!).

I played smack the opossum this evening with my .25. One to the head and a followup to the heart/lung area and it was over.

Sounds like everyone is having fun which is awesome, I’m waiting for our next heavy snow to go thru and it looks like it could be around 7” or more at our location Sunday afternoon thru Monday night but I’m hoping it misses us and only leaves a inch or so, I so want this to melt away so I can get out to the property and do some real fun shooting, it’s tuff reading about everyone else shooting, working on triggers and such and seeing pics with no snow it’s almost like getting beat up hahaha but I know it won’t be long now. Keep the info coming I’m enjoying reading it plus it’s keeping me sane I think Bwaaahahaha.

Here are some 40 yard shots on a master lock that was rusted shut. 

The face was cracking and that was about 6 shots all right on each other .

Then I started challenging myself just shooting the key hole. The shots off target was me re adjusting the lock as it was swinging to center it for another shot. 

This was with my .25 HM1000x LRT polygon 60flb version. Pellets are 33.98 JSB at about 870fps. Enjoy.

I love destructive testing, nice shooting. I have some lithium polymer batteries that are going to be tested once the weather gets better.

Nice shooting! That is a lot of power-and very accurate too!

I mostly shoot paper but thought I give something else a try. 40 yrds isn’t that big of a challenge for this rifle as long as I do my part but it does show to be aware of your back stop because it carries a lot of power.

Your correct, i shot my .25 at a 1/8" thick piece of aluminum and expected a big welt. To my surprise it went thru it and then it went 1/2" into the 2x4 behind it. That really woke me up as to the power that it puts out.

We shoot those all the time. When the R/C flyers are done with them, we get them and shoot them at 55 yards. Make sure they're charged first, then they catch fire when the cells are shorted out. Quite spectacular, but don't start any fires.

I do have to admit the power on these guns are absolutely enormous. I have 1/4 solid steel plate as my backing. It does not have a dent on it when I shoot at it. The .30 had enough power where the pellet discintergrated at 75yds. Nothing but lead shrapnel in my box. At 75 yds it almost went through 3/4 plywood. Spinner targes at 75yds has to be in a solid wood and held down tightly. It will knock the heck out of it. 1 shot and my spinner no longer stands if it' standing on it' own. Stick the spinner in 1/2 wood base. 5 shots on the 1 inch spinner at 75yds and it comes out of the base.
with my .30 I shoot all targets with in the 1/4 inch steel pellet trap. Heavy as heck. But I know my pellets won't be straying somewhere.

Yeah the 30 has a lot of power.
I know my old target had 16 gauge steel followed by another layer of 16 gauge steel and ieven with putty inside the 30 cal. would shoot through both of those layers.
So it wound up with 2 layer of 16 gauge steel followed up by another layer of 12 gauge and even with the putty in it, it would still dent all three layers if hitting the same spot
over and over again. (Damn accuracy LOL)

My new target has 2 layers of 1/2" rubber mat, 48 lbs of impact putty, 3 inches of rubber mulch and 3 layers of steel all in a 12"x18"x6" form. 
Weighs approximately 100 lbs, and does not flinch when shot with the 30 cal. Dang thing could probably shrug off a 9mm centerfire.
What can I say overkill is the name of the game with this one, but I don't worry about Pellets over penetrating.

JPS2486, That is exactly where mine come from. This is what i do to my old stock for my planes. Your correct they work better with a fresh charge.

Keep it to 1 cell lipos , I saw a 6 cell lipo go up in flames while charging and almost burn down our indoor RC track...

Nice sunny day and the big part of the storm missed our place so I’m getting in some shooting with the WC .25 today and sure wish it was a HMx 25 but I’m patient and at least I have a 25 to shoot, might get the HMx 357 out today if not I’ll shoot it tomorrow if the weather holds out. Feeling way better now then the last two weeks and it’s melting out.

Good to hear that the storm that missed you. Sorry to hear that we are getting hit tonight and tomorrow. Calling for 9-12" but it will go away in a week. I hope the shooting went well.

So glad to hear you're feeling better Jim! We got a little bit of that snow today, but it's not sticking around here for very long. I'm headed to FL later this week for Bike Week (working the demo's) so I'll be suffering 'shooting withdrawl' for a while, LOL. At the end of the trip, I plan to stop in and meet Ken in person and hang out for a couple hours prior to catching my flight back home...

Instructions to Sean,
1) Enjoy your bike week event.
2) While visiting Ken wrestle him down and force him to let you shoot a gun with a Donny Fl silencer on it.
3) Don't let him snowball you, he has one, remember the photo that he was teasing us with .....
4) Report back to us with the best information on the silencer and caliber that it was on....
