RAW/rapid pistol

I was asked to make a pistol using rapid block, the owner really loved the gun but the cocking bolt on the right hand side of the block was awkward to use so he bought a left handed RAW 1000 block and asked me to swap it out sadly I don’t have any pictures of the RAW upgrade but here is the original.

currently it is .177 getting 170 shots per charge from the 100cc bottle, potentially, with a .25, the power could be 30fpe+ but shot count would be poor.

stunningly accurate to 30yards,

Very nice what bottle are you using, and do you happen to have a link I can find one.

The bottle is a 100cc type used by divers, 7” LW barrel, I don’t have a link other than a few lines on the rapid 7 owners club but the action is a RAW HM1000, the internals and shroud are mine, the stock was made by another R7OC member .

i have found a couple of photos of the RAW block

I once approached Martin about the possibility of RAW producing a pistol, but he didn't seem interested in the idea. Too bad, because there are a good many Thomas pistols/carbines showing up at major PFT competitions. Oh well.

I agree, there is some interest here for a big pistol too. I am also surprised that RAW have not made a bullpup yet either, I made this 4 years ago. Total cost of conversion was less than $40 including stock and paint. It has without a doubt the best mechanical trigger I have tried on any bullpup

not a pistol but shows the versatility of the RAW block.
