RAW (Rapid Air Weapons) new sponsor

Here are some options

OK... Before we go down the "Rabbit Hole" on barrels.. on thing that I have been searching for before I started working with Martin was the Quest for the "Perfect Barrel".... I jokingly I tell people about my "Barrel Library"... But the truth is Martin has Many More Barrels then one could every try....

One of RAW's top Goals is Accuracy.... and we are not talking about "Cherry Picking" for a gun to get shipped to a customer before it gets tested..... 90% or better are good to go the first time they are Test fired.... Every now and then they require some special attention.... and "Once and a While"... they go to the "Tomato Garden"......Every gun is 100% before it gets shipped..

One thing that came as a surprise is that Barrel Manufactures give "NO GUARANTEE" of Performance.. in their eyes ever barrel is Perfect..... I can't tell you how wrong that is.... Most of the time they perform extremely well.. Most of the time the average barrel will out perform the operator EVERY TIME.....

Here is the trick.... It is about matching Caliber and velocity to a given barrel. For the most part pellets and calibers work well... but every now and then things just go side ways.... EVERY GUN from RAW is Tested for accuracy either at 50 yards or 100 yards... If it doesn't meet Martins Strict requirements... it will not ship...!!!

My One request is... if your get a RAW... just Shoot it. Have Confidence that a Person with almost 30 years experience has spent part of his week "Crafting , Assembling and Testing" the New addition to your Valued Collection..

Her are a few shots of different barrels... they cover the entire range ....
Blued, Stainless Steel and chrome moly.... C.F Mods, Full Shrouds, Double Shrouds.... Barrels sleeved with C.F, Stainless, and the Titanium.....

Sorry guys. I am Not going to go into any details on Twist Rates, Land and Groove Depths and widths... I have been told "Bamboo under My Fingernails" will be the Best I could hope for...hahahahaha...

Just have confidence that EVREY Effort has been made to give you the Best Shooting gun Possible... and I continue to say.... "There are NO Bad Shooting Guns"... Just Bad Pellet - Barrel combinations.... to date I have NEVER washed or Lubricated pellets... I will perform some type of Measurement and sorting process when preparing of competitions to ensure I shoot the Best Pellets for a given Barrel and Caliber... NOT All Pellets are created equal.... The Pellet manufactures for the Most Part do an Excellent Job...

Enjoy.....

Here is some more info

OK... RAW offers two Basic model options.... HM "Hunting Model" Magazine Fed Actions... and BM/TM.. "Bench Model - Targert Model"... They are available in both Right Hand and Left Hand Options.....
The HM Model accepts Magazines but has Generous scallops on both side for single loading. The BM Model has an enlarged loading area for fumble free Single Shot Loading....
Lastly the HM Models are equiped with a safety located just forward of the Trigger.....The other difference is the weight of the trigger. For the BM/TM they are set between 4oz to 6oz and the HM/HMX are set between 6oz to 12oz... they are by far one of the Best Factory 2 stage Triggers Available. But Again they can be fully adjusted the the shooters needs.. Take up length, and both 1st stage and 2nd Stage weights...

In Total RAW Offers 5 Different Actions to meets any and all needs.... the are:
-HM1000x -357 - the reason is the basic HM1000x needs to have enlarged magazine to accommodate the longer 357 pellets.
- (Left side) the Small actions - HM1000 (Magazine Fed) & BM500 Single shot
- (Right Side) "X-Actions" HM1000X (magazine Fed) & BM500X Single shot

The HM Action Series is available in any caliber- .177 -.20-.22-.25-.30 and .357
Ranging in power levels from Sub 12fpe to 150 FPE.. now that surely should meet any need.....
The HMX Actions are now manufactured with a 22 MOA with True Pictainy Spacing..

The TM/BM Series were the first guns manufactured by RAW. The only difference between a TM1000 and BM500
is the stock and air bottle they are fitted with. TM stands for Target Model - where BM stands for Bench Model...
Yes... I know... It must be a an "English Thing" .. just go with it.....

The BM series guns are available in .177-.20-.22-.25 and 30 cal Only... also available in both Left and Right Hand Models....
These actions can support power levels between sub 12 fpe to the highest .30cal velocities...

Repost from the Dealer Announcement page.

Welcome RAW. I’m a relative noob to air gunning but long long time firearms enthusiast. It didn’t take me long to find out that RAW is most probably the premier airgun manufacturer in the US. I am SO Buy American. Extremely so. I would love to have one or two of your top of the line airguns. I’m a pest shooter and on the 20k acre ranch I manage there are a LOT of pests. All the way up to 250 lb hogs, coyotes and we have at present two photographically documented mountain lions. Then there’s coons, ( by the hundreds ) porcupines and a few others.I really really want the ultimate hunting PCP. Two actually. One in .25 cal and later a .30 cal. BUT … your present offerings are just too heavy for real hunting. I hope and pray you have plans to one day give us a trimmed down carbine model RAW. Please.

PS: Oh and can they have real gun type metal trigger guards? Thank you

Always an area that concerns me with 'Theoben' rifles - Triggers

Have RAW moved on from the very basic 'GAMO style' triggers of their past, because the safety lever right in front of the trigger blade in your photos doesn't inspire confidence !. (actually marked HM 1000 in your photos)

You have shown lots of barrel external finishes here - but can you give us an idea on the basics - 6,8, etc or Polygonal lands ?

Hi everyone I am just a very satisfied customer of the RAW brand of rifles, I currently have 3 different models and an extra stock. If there are any question about the Rifles you can contact Mark Buchanan at [email protected] He can give you all the info on what they have and is the one to talk to about the target models for Benchrest competitions. If interested in ordering you will need to call Martin at RAW or there web site, here is a link https://www.rapidairweapons.com/xcart/home.php

I hope this helps everyones questions on who to contact

It continues to puzzle me why a manufacturer feels that these are "secret measurements" when all one has to do is have a gun to easily take the measurements and post them for all to see. ?????????

If there was a RAW that was a bit more sleek, short, and lighter with plenty of power for squirrels (.25 would be my preference). I've been thinking about RAWs for about 12 months. I almost ordered one. I visit my daughter's family a lot in Clarksville, TN, not too far from RAWs place. I suppose I'll call to see if I can stop by sometime and see what's possible.

I'm currently playing with an FX Wildcat .25. A lot different than the full size rifles like the Wolverine (I have one of these in .25) and RAW.

In the same boat. Be sure and let us all know if you make the trip and find out anything.
